Kanab, UT

Information gathered from any Utah municipal energy audits in Kanab and Kane County, Utah will be used to determine energy efficiency, retrofitting and weatherization projects using funds from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG). Retrofitting projects will include air infiltration, energy efficient windows and doors, insulation levels, weather-stripping and caulking, and electric base loads.

Using its EECBG formula funding to retrofit and improve the energy efficiency of a number of it's municipal buildings that will result in substantial reduction in energy usage.

EECBG Formula grants can be used for energy efficiency and conservation programs and projects community wide, as well as renewable energy installations on local municipal buildings, city facilities, local city and county government buildings. EECBG programs include: energy efficiency stimulus funding, energy efficiency retrofit programs, municipal efficiency retrofits, retrofitting of city owned buildings.

If an EECBG weatherization and retrofitting project is selected, an energy audit must be completed first in order to prioritize other activities.

We foresee energy efficiency block grant funds as a crucial component of pursuing energy efficiency programs within a town, city or local government.

Events include barrel racing, pole bedning, dummy roping, flag race, team roping, breakaway roping and goat tying. Hosted by the Tri Valley Rodeo Association. Free event to watch. This beautiful Sunset photograph was Taken in Colorado Utah this evening.

I spent the weekend in Cedar City Utah and around South West Utah only 2 hours from Las Vegas Nevada.

There are so many National and State Parks in Utah, almost half of the state is made up of Parks. I took some very - very beautiful photographs I will be sharing through different groups at Active Rain.

I took pictures of the rocks at the airport. I think the one I like the best was the Septarian Nodule. They say it is found in southern Utah. 150 million years water covered parts of southern utah. Volcanic eruptions cause sea life and sediment to be trap in mud balls. The mud balls were then exposed to the sun when the water receded. This caused them to crack. Whenthe water returned dissolved sea life turned in calcite that settled into the cracks causing this type of formation. Rockhounds can find them in Kanab, Utah.

I love the contast in the stone.

The Picasso Marble can be found in this picture it is the small heart above, the black and brown bear shape on the back left, and the small bear shaped rock on the right.

The yellew rock in the middle is Honeycomb Calcite also found in Utah.
