Facebook, Linkedin, and twitter do they really work to get clients?

Jorge Sanchez: Real Estate Agent in Lehi, UT

Ok, I have really been hesitant to jump on the band wagon and sign up for all three of these sites. I have been a facebook fan for a while now, and I feel I have mastered it enough. As a matter of fact, I have gotten a few leads off of FB but those leads have not turned into clients yet.

LinkedIn and twitter, I have been putting off until today. Finally I said I'm going to do it and I signed up for both of them. I know I have a lot to learn about both sites, however my first action plan is to make contact with people and just listen to what they are saying. If I hear of anyone wanting to buy or sell a home or talks about someone that is, then I will bounce into action.

I think a lot of agents are still hesitant about all three, FB, LinkedIn and Twitter. However, I know that sooner or later most of our leads are going to be coming from one of those places.

Give me some feedback; let me know which one you use and have you had leads that turned into clients that turned into sales?

Who do you want to win the MLS cup??

Jorge Sanchez: Real Estate Agent in Lehi, UT

NO, it's NOT the Multiple Listing Service; it's Major League Soccer! You know, it's been a while since we had Utah come together to support a local team. Last time I saw so much excitement around here was when we had the 2002 Winter Olympics. Congratulations Real Salt Lake, for being the Eastern conference champions and now I wish you luck in the Finals. It's not going to be easy beating Beckham and Donavin in Seattle; however I know you will do your best!

Soccer is fast becoming one of the most popular sports here in the US especially in Utah. Winning the MLS cup will just put more eyeballs on our State and hopefully bring more home buyers into our office.

Who would you predict to win the MLS Cup? Real Salt Lake or Los Angeles Galaxy? Post your response.

Are you DRIFT'ing in your business?

Jorge Sanchez: Real Estate Agent in Lehi, UT

This is my second winter in the real estate business and lately I am catching myself DRIFTING in my day to day activities. That fact that its cold outside and that my clients (especially my buyers) are not seeing the sense of urgency does not help the cause.

I decided today to partner up with someone in my office and see if he/she wants to be my "accountability partner". Someone I can take to breakfast/lunch or just meet at the office and talk about what I want to accomplish from now to the end of the year, and have that person hold me accountable to my goals.

Do any of you find yourself drifting? and if so what do you do to get out of that mode? Has it worked?

Are buyers taking longer to buy??

Jorge Sanchez: Real Estate Agent in Lehi, UT

As a real estate agent in Utah, I am noticing that lots of buyers are taking a little longer to purchase a home. Are you guys noticing the same trend? During the summer months buyers were on fire! Ever since the $8000 tax credit was extended it seems like buyers are slowing down in thier dicision to purchase. I can't decide if extending the tax credit was a good or bad idea in general.
