When you are looking for Charlottesville Real Estate remember that Charlottesville is in Albemarle County. We have grand estates and horse farms in Albemarle. We closed on this fine home in Charlottesville this month. It is one of the nicest build homes I have seen in a long time. The builder was building the home for his personal residence and as luck would have it (for my clients) we were able to get the home with a 6 month closing.
We set the closing for Jan 15, 2009 so that our buyers could sell on their Northern Virginia home. Well they actually got the NVA home sold very quickly and we moved the closing on this new home to last week!
Our Buyers (Peg Gilliland and I represented the buyers) are extremely happy and have moved to Charlottesville!
Life is good!

We are putting a wonderful home on the market about 8 minutes to Charlottesville. This home is wonderful and has a very private pool!
Situated on almost 5 acres of stunning wooded land with a river at the rear of the property. This home is idea for a family who wants to be close to town but still in the county.
As a special benefit, there is a second home on the property that is currently leased. So this offering has a built in income!
Contact me for specifics and watch the MLS for details!

In real estate there is always something about a particular home or property that I find appealing. Many times for me it is the land itself. I always feel that a home can be changed or updated but the land is something that sets the tone of an estate in Charlottesville.
I often see a "driveway" and my imagination goes wild as to what gems are out of my sight.
Do you ever do that?
This driveway in Albemarle County is a prime example. Do you wonder what is at the end of it too?
Stay tuned for more details!

POWER is Back on and we are very happy!
Yesterday we had high winds in our area (gusts at 70mph) and several trees were down. Early in the after noon our power went out. This is not normal for our area....
This morning (still no power) we got the kids to school and drove to town to get supplies (and coffee).
This was the first thing we saw:

Well this was on Garth Road and we were a little concerned that it would be forever before the power came back on! We went to town and did our errands and on the way back we saw (about an hour later):

The crews were hard at work!
getting closer to our home we got the all clear sign from the road crew!

After getting back home we unpacked the car and within 30 minutes our power was back on!
We have great crews here in Virginia!!!
