  • The most important thing you can do is price your home right, have your real estate agent do a CMA and price your home aggressively, that is in the lower range of similar homes if you want a quick sale
  • Have a pre-inspection done to your home and fix any problems
  • Give your home curb appeal
  • Offer a Home Warranty if it is an older home
  • Get rid of clutter, start clearing out your things, even if you have to put them in storage.
  • Think about staging your home, get advise from a staging professional or at least your agent.

Tennant Lake Interpretive CenterSeniors Day in the Park - Come frolic in the sun at Hovander Park on Wednesday 8/6/2008. This special event will feature a BBQ lunch, local entertainment, door prizes, activities, vendor booths and dancing. The cost is $5.50 for individuals under 60 and a suggested $5.50 donation for those 60 & over. Tickets are available in advance at your local Whatcom County Senior Activity Center or at the ticket booth on the day of the event.

Battle at Hovander Park

The Washington Civil War Association presents BATTLE at Hovander Park. The two day event includes multiple battles with infantry, cavalry, & artillery; a fashion show; medical demonstrations; & living history in camps.

The dates & times are:
Saturday, August 9th, 9:00AM until 5:00PM

Sunday, August 10th, 9:00AM until 3:00PM

Two battles a day will take place:
Saturday at 11 AM & 3 PM Sunday at 11 AM & 3 PM

Admission is:

FREE - Children (5 & under)

$2.00 - Children (6-12)

$4.00- Seniors & Military Personnel (with ID)

$7.00 - Adults
