East Village will be reborn in 2012 with the first two new condo buildings to hit the area that has undergone a transformation and will become one of Calgary's hottest inner city downtown communities.

It looks like downtown Calgary may actually get finished. The East Village is really the only part of downtown Calgary that has not been developed.
Developer Ryan Bosa the president of Embassy Development announced that they are planning to build a $300 million project. The 700,000 sq. ft. project would have residential and retail space, just East of City Hall.
They expect that three residential towers will bring about 600 homes to the area over five years. Presales will begin in early 2012 with occupancy proposed for the last part of 2013.
