Knowledge is the Power for Your Freedom to a Worry Free Home!

Q. What if the report reveals problems?

No home is perfect. Just because your inspection report reveals problems this does not mean you should not necessarily buy the home. My goal is to provide you and your family with the best information that I can about the condition of the home and property at the time, your home inspection was done for you. Your Real Estate Agent is a lot better equipped to negotiate individual items than I am. Regardless of who takes care of any issues, please be sure to follow up on any recommendations.

Most of your inspection will mainly be maintenance recommendations, life expectancies and minor imperfections. These are nice to know about.

However, the issues that really should matter to you and your family are going to fall into these four categories

1. Any major defects. A example of this, would be a structural failure.

2. Anything that can lead to a major defect. An example, could be a roof-flashing leak.

3. Anything that may keep you from financing, legally occupy or insuring the home you are wanting to buy.

4. Any and all safety hazards to your family, a good exampie, would be if there was an exposed live buss bar at the electric panel.

You'll want to address anything in these categories that should be in your Inspection report!!

Most often a serious problem can be fixed inexpensivelt to protect, you and your family's life and the home you are looking to buy.

Do not kill your home buying deal over something that does not really matter! Don't nit-pick the seller!

If you have any questions or have concerns about anything please feel free to call or E-Mail me! 603-826-4207, bakerhomeinspection@yahoo.com

I hope you and your family always have a fun and safe day!

You can go wild about watching Nature in Springfield, Vermont

Baker Home Inspection and Consulting Blog! It's a good idea to have a Home Inspection

Real Estate Home Inspections

Right now somewhere in Springfield, Vermont there is a Fox sitting with pricked ears on top of a mountain. Fox

There is a Black Bear having some quiet timeBlack Bear

There are two Eagles talking over where to have their familyEagles

There is a Moose enjoying life Moose

Around here, connecting with nature is not difficult and it comes quite naturally. You can do it just by simply going bird watching, hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing, or just out taking photographs.

According to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife, there are no less than 84 wildlife management areas throughout the State of Vermont, to see and enjoy wildlife. There are also several National Wildlife Refuges. The Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge, for an example, attracts large flocks of migratory birds to it's quiet waters and wetlands. On the shores of northern Lake Champlain, you'll more than likely to see an abundance of waterfowls, such as mallards, black ducks, wood ducks, ring-necked ducks, and snow geese.

When you and your family are out enjoying nature, remember

Don't use lead fishing sinkers. Lead sinkers are deadly to loons and waterfowls.

Be sure to leave nature just as you found it. Don't even carry bait or bucket water from one waterway to another. Doing this can lead to the invasion of non-native species.

Control your pets at all times.

Stay on designated hiking trails.

Always be careful with your campfires.

Most of all, be sure to get out and enjoy the outdoors! And let's keep Vermont a haven for wildlife and wildlife lovers.

Your Oil Line and Oil Leaks in your Home - Claremont, New Hampshire

Baker Home Inspection and Consulting BlogA Home Inspection helps to keep your family safe

Knowledge is the Power for Your Freedom to a Worry Free Home!

A leak from a fuel oil line in your basement or even a utility room will create an unpleasant odor throughout your home. This is a very important condition to check because it's a fire hazard. You need to have any leaks repaired just as soon as you can. Unfortunately, there have been some systems installed where copper tubing is ran directly on the floor and makes it subject to being crushed. It's a very poor policy and a really big hazard. In many case's the connections of the copper line to the tank, the pump, and the nozzle have been made by using a type of fitting called a compression. These fittings are not recommended for using as a oil line connection because they often leak.

Fuel Oil Heating System, New Hampshire and Vermont

Baker Home Inspection and Consulting BlogA Home Inspection can save a life

Knowledge is the Power for Your Freedom to a Worry Free Home!

A oil burner system is comparable to a gas burner except for the cost of fuel oil, which can run twice as much as a gas system. If you keep it properly maintained, your oil burning forced air furnace or boiler system will operate as efficiently and cleanly as a gas fired system. The oil burner does require more service than a gas burner, because there are a lot more compo nets to them. I always recommend having oil burners serviced annually. Even with the slight additional cost of maintenance, and the higher cost of fuel now a days, having a oil fired furnace is the best choice when the area you and your family lives in, does not have natural gas available. You may have had folk's tell you that they have had oil odors and oil residue on their household items. That happens when the oil burner is incorrectly adjusted. When proper maintenance procedures are followed that is not common with these systems.

Is this anyway for the Housing Authority to treat a Veteran or anyone ?

Baker Home Inspection and Consulting BlogI Love Our Flag

Knowledge is the Power to keep our Freedom's!

Serving in the U.S. Navy and being a Vietnam Veteran and serving in many other times of need by our Grand Country, and retiring from the Navy. Having lost many a good friends and my youngest son fighting for the freedom of others.

So when I read that the Bangor Maine Housing Authority, had ordered a brother Vietnam Vet by the name of Arthur Brazeau, to stop flying and take down his U.S. Flag along with his U.S. Army, POW - MIA, and even the Maine State Flag, that he had hanging from his porch on a wooden brackt that he made with his own hands to Proudly display and attache and to fly them from the railing of his apartment.

So I ask you. Are we becoming a Communist country and going to let all of our rights be taken away ?

I'll tell ya I sure was and I am still T-Off, about this being done to this man, that gave service to his and our Country.

Mr. Brazeau did remove his Flag's only because the Housing Authority was going to fine him $50.00 a day if he did not.

I would like each and every member of the Active Rain Community and non-members, to call, or write your State and Federal representatives to get them to change this un-American rule of not flying theses Flags.

Seen the Federal Government gives the Housing Authority money to help off set, the money they get from the folk's that live in those apartments.

Do not sit by and let our right to Proudly fly our Flag go by the way side!!

Stand up and show them you are Proud of all those that serve and that have served our Grand Country!!

God Bless America and Our Service Men and Women!!

So stand with me and be counted!

Don't Tread On MeYou Are Not Forgotten

God Bless Our Vet's

Did you know Benjamin Franklin

Knowledge is the Power for Your Freedom to a Worry Free Home!

( In case anyone stop's by, I am not done with this post )

A very unusual aspect of Franklin's personality, at least by the standards of the 18th century, was his concern for personal hygiene.

From his youth he was an avid swimmer, and in his adult life he bathed as often as once a week practice considered scandalous at the time.

Franklin not only brought the first bathtub to America but also improved its design and spent much of his time reading and writing while soaking. His concern for sanitation went beyond his own personal needs, and he was instrumental in creating America's first public sewer system in Philadelphia.

The signpost blogger is unusual in the fact they don't share their opinions with fok's, that is not their primary reason for their bloging existence. The sisnpost blogger will point out very cool things of interest in their industry. They may not really have a lot to say in their blog post's. But they will post dozens of shorter post's each day. As they come along very interesting tidbits to pass along to their reads. They can always point a read to sites with very good information that they can use.
