City Life Realty is a great brokerage in Hampden. They really believe in Baltimore and in keeping it clean & green. I've been talking to them for a while and am very happy to have their listings online with us @ www.baltimoresun.com. They will have banner ads running soon as well, so look for them throughout the site.

Visit them online at www.cityliferealty.net

Or, view all of their listings with all of the pictures, tours, and info online with us here

Here's something I made to display the upcoming auctions from AJ Billig. The best part is that you can display this on your website, your blog, your pageflakes, etc so that you can check it often. Just click on the "get widget" tab at the bottom.

Vote for Best Ravens QB in franchise history

07-14-08

I'm not sure who I'd vote for, but I would definitely give this my vote for saddest poll ever. I mean, are you sure our only options are Boller, Dilfer, & Testaverde? Stay tuned next week for our poll to decide on the great LA Clipper of all time, followed by funniest Carrot Top joke.

I'd give the slight edge to Testaverde because at least he could pile up the points. Dilfer is close because he rode the defense to a Super Bowl win.

Brand new website for the Patuxent papers in Carroll County

As most of you know, Tribune owns the Baltimore Sun and Patuxent Publishing. The Sun's interactive division is great, so they were put to work redesigning all of Patuxent's websites. We have just completed the Eldersburg Eagle and the Westminster Eagle. Content from both can now be found at www.explorecarroll.com

Residents can now go online to read the local news and also have a forum to contribute their own opinions, ideas, & even photos. Take a look and let us know what you think!

Labor of Lust - What's the big deal?

07-01-08

This is a local story that has picked up a lot of national buzz. A Baltimore couple was forced to move to Colorado & to make things interesting, they decided to have sex every day for three months and write a book about it. Apparently having sex for 101 straight days is a big deal. I'd just call that a good summer.

Baltimore Sun's award winning series on Ground Rent

06-20-08
Authored by: Carson Porter
If you are considering buying a home here, you should read about how the Ground Rent system works. It used to be widely viewed as a harmless vestige of colonial law, but is increasingly being used by some investors to seize homes or extract large fees from people who often are ignorant of the loosely regulated process.

I know I just get a bill for $60 every 6 months from a company I've never heard of. If you fall behind on paying, it can cost you a lot more than the $60 though. Over a recent 6 year period, city judges awarded houses to ground rent holders over 500 times! If you don't want to risk it, you usually can request to buy out your ground rent.

All three parts of our Ground Rent series plus continuing coverage, pictures, a sample deed, etc can be read here.
