About Becky S. Burghart:

I am Becky S. Burghart, a full service real estate professional associated with a locally owned Topeka brokerage service. I have lived in the Topeka area all my life.  As a Real Estate Salesperson I am considered an independent contractor working for myself. I am an agent with an impeccable work ethic and I remain on target to sell more homes than most real estate agents in the Topeka area.  If problems arise, you talk to me or if you have questions/concerns, you talk to me.  I value my services and reputation and I understand the seriousness of my job. As a core value, I believe that if I am going to spend more time working than I do with my family, I am going to enjoy every aspect of my work and contribute my best effort in order to have peace of mind and THAT is why I am driven to success.  

I have a great deal of expertise, knowledge and experience when it comes to serving the best interest of my Buyers and Sellers and I am not afraid to mix things up, especially in our current downward market. I care about the people I serve and HOLD MYSELF TO THE HIGHEST ETHICAL AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS.

On a professional note I give of my time to improve the overall performance of Real Estate Agents.  I am a member of the Topeka Area Association of Realtors, Kansas Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and MLS board. I serve at the pleasure of my fellow real estate agents on the Grievance Committee (who follow up on consumer real estate complaints) and I am a prior Director for the Topeka Area Association of Realtors - Board of Directors & MLS Board of Directors.

I have lived here all my life.  Who better to assist in your Real Estate needs?  I was educated in the Shawnee Heights School district, K-12 and attended Washburn University while working for the State of Kansas full-time.  I am a prior business owner and served the State of Kansas in a number of employment positions.  I also went above and beyond by serving at the pleasure of the Governor on various committees to enhance the health and wellness of state employees and benefit packages, the State of Kansas collection system and various other committees.

On a more personal note; I am married, the mother of 3 children, and the daughter to elderly parents.  I enjoy trying to balance family, religion, health, community and my job.  I enjoy my involvement in community activities especially sponsoring various school activities, children and battered programs for women, such as Women United who pick up where other service programs fail to assist women & children in need. I also support Housing and Credit Counseling of Topeka and the United Way.  I enjoy serving as Chairperson for a National professional women's group and various activities through my Church.

How Can I Help You Sell or Buy a New Home?

Anyone who has had a real estate experience will tell you, You NEED a Real Estate SALESPERSON.... with knowledge, expertise, and experience.  That's Becky!! 

Buying and selling real estate is a complex tranaction requiring time, effort, patience and know how.  If you are a first time home buyer, I am your agent.  I will walk you comfortably through the buying process step by step so you are making good, informed decisions.  If you are a seasoned buyer or seller I will share with you changes in the market since your last real estate experience.  If you are Relocating IN or OUT of the Topeka area, I have experience working with a number of RELOCATION COMPANIES and not all relocations companies are the same.  Having an experienced agent who has a working relationship with relocation companies can make the difference in a TIMELY purchase or sell. 

Becky is knowledgeable of real estate law, evaluating your financing options, title requirements and what it takes to provide clear title to a property, taxing issues, preparing and negotiating contracts including what inspection companies to use and why  inspections are recommended.  In the end, Becky's TRANSACTIONS CLOSE AND THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION.
