Bio: 

I was born and raised in Utah and have lived here the majority of my life.  Having lived in other states I can tell you that Utah offers more variety and beauty than most places.  I grew up in a very business minded atmosphere with my Dad owning a successful Structural Steel Detailing Business and my Mom rising to top as a #1 sales rep .  We always joke that she could sell ice to an Eskimo.  They are the best parents in the world and taught me a lot about hard work, ethics, and just being yourself.

I am very tech savvy and consider myself an undercover geek.  In fact, I used to build cellular networks for Verizon and AT&T.  I try to be on the forefront of utilizing technology in my real estate business to better suite my client's wants and needs.  My next big geek purchase will be a tablet pc, so that we can sign all the documents right on the screen and fax/email copies immediately to everyone involved.  It's a streamlined process that saves everyone involved time and is a step into a paperless world.

I am currently the Treasurer of my home owners association, and with the help of a great community, board members, and a diligent property management company, we have worked to turn it around and make it a better place for everyone.  In 2007, I took a step into the political arena to run for City Council in Draper.  I was so busy with work that it ended up taking me out of the race, but I will be back to run again in the future.  It's hard to see how much of an impact you can make for the better until you volunteer your time.  It's important for me to make a difference within my neighborhood and community, so I try to volunteer as much time as I can.

I love to snow ski, golf, and just generally be active in the outdoors.  I was a kids ski instructor at Snowbird ski resort in high school.  Instructing kids how to ski is the biggest patience builder in the world.  It's a balancing act of making sure everyone is safe, warm, and has gone to the bathroom.  The instruction aspect is the easiest part, but they don't tell you that when you sign up. :)
