My other job ~ I have not left, I'm just spending time elsewhere

The time has come my friends, I must bid a hasty good-by. Be it only part-time, but my time will be spent on my other job for a while.

No need to worry Century 21, I'm not leaving real estate sales, just spending a lot more time with my family. You see, two weeks ago hockey season began and I am a hockey parent and also a hockey coach! You may, as many others in the past have, say I'm a bit crazy. The sport being so expensive, the travel so far and so often. To me, these are the few sacrifices I'm willing to pay to see my son enjoy himself.

Youth hockey players

While I may be just JOKING about it being another job. Of course I still head into the office nearly everyday. Spend my time on the duty desk. I still have all of my listings and continue to work with buyers. I simply joke that it is my other job. It is time consuming, but well worth it.

Hope to see you all out at the rink this year!

No sleep for me this morning.

Well, it's 6:25 on Saturday morning and I've been up for over two hours now. I was not able to get much sleep last night and this morning.

I often tell people that I really don't sleep that much. A good nights sleep for me is six or seven hours. Those nights only come so often, once a week if I'm lucky.

Sleepy Bill !

My wife tells me I'm crazy, my friends tell me I'm nuts, and my family tells me that I work too much. I don't think personally that it is any of the above. I think that I just care too much.

You see, most of the time, I can't sleep because I'm up worrying about my clients and transactions that are taking place. I am constantly second guessing myself. Have I done the right thing? Have I advised my clients to make the right decision? Will it all work out?

Super hero Bill You see, I care so much, I not only want to take care of your real estate transaction. I want to be the hero of the day. I often sacrifice so much of who I am to make it happen. I have felt that Realtors® have recently gotten a bad rap for the housing crunch and in part the economy. I want to change that. We give so much of who we are, and do care about our clients and their homes so much that we are willing to sacrifice ourselves.

It's been a good week. Out of my twelve or so listings, I have had nearly 10 requests for showings this week. Maybe I'll be so busy with clients, contracts, and of course youth hockey, maybe I will be able to get a little sleep this week due to good old exhaustion!

Portsmouth New Hampshire 03801, area photographs

This week, my father and I, (Oscar Somerset), were fortunate enough to have some very nice weather for our photo shoots. In a combined effort with my father, Oscar Somerset, of http://www.8thwondersphotograph.com/ , we have been out on a weekly basis, taking photographs of towns and cities in New Hampshire, and will continue in Maine, for visual tours that I will be adding to my site http://www.billsomerset.com/ .

This week we had the chance to take photos in Portsmouth New Hampshire. Portsmouth is one of my favorite places to visit in the summer. From the beautiful scenery, to some of the areas greatest restaurants, Portsmouth is a destination for the whole family to enjoy.
