About Darci

Darci is a Realtor® with Prudential Becky Hamlin Realty, the leading real estate office in the entire Gunnison Valley. She is a consistent top producer in the local Crested Butte market, and as such was recognized with Prudential's 2005, '06 and '07 President's Circle Award. This award places Darci in the top 5% of Sales Professionals/Teams in the Prudential Real Estate network. Darci was also recognized as the 2nd Top Producer within her office for 2007. In 2006 Darci was elected to the local Board of Realtors (Gunnison Country Association of Realtors) and served as Board Treasurer. She is currently serving as President-Elect and will serve as President beginning in September 2008.

Darci's number one goal is to provide service above and beyond client's expectations. She is a full-time Realtor® and will dedicate her time, attention, energy and knowledge to make you yet another satisfied client. Darci is the only Realtor® in Crested Butte to have earned all of the following designations (GRI, MRE, SRS, RSPS, e-Pro), demonstrating her commitment to continued education and knowledge. She is currently working towards her Certified Residential Specialist designation, which is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field.

GRI: Gradute of Realtor® Institute. This designation is awarded to those agents who have taken at least 90 hours of specialized real estate related courses and are up to date on the latest real estate trends and issues.

MRE: Masters of Real Estate.

SRS: Seller Representative Specialist. This designation recognizes real estate professionals who have completed special education in seller representation.

RSPS: Resort & Second Home Property Specialist.

e-Pro Certified: Certification for Realtor® Internet Professionals who have completed extensive training using the Web and therefore maximize your ability to leverage the enormous power of the Internet when you are buying and selling property.

Born and raised in Seattle, Darci developed a love for the outdoors which eventually brought her to the mountains of Colorado. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1999 with a degree in accounting and international business, with a concentration in Spanish studies. After earning her CPA license, Darci moved to Crested Butte, an adventure that began as a way to experience the life of a "ski bum" before returning to the real world of rush hour traffic and corporate work hours. That winter in Crested Butte came to an end, but Darci found that her life here was just beginning.

Upon returning to Seattle, Darci began her accounting career with an international accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche LLP. After a year, the small town living that she so enjoyed in Crested Butte was calling her back. It didn't take long for Darci to pack up her few belongings and return to the mountains of Colorado.

Eight years after discovering this wonderful community, she is still here and loving everything that Crested Butte has to offer. Outside of real estate Darci enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, camping, golfing and just plain living in Crested Butte.

Darci took charge and made it happen. After 7 months with another agent nothing seemed to be happening and it was still eating away at me that I needed to have something going on in Crested Butte. I started a search on my own on the computer and somehow hooked up with Darci. She immediately sent me a huge fed ex delivery of all possibilities in the Crested Butte area and made me aware of how I needed to get out there and see some properties as the market was so hot.

Once I flew into Crested Butte Darci made herself more then available. She showed me properties I didn't even know I was interested in and it turned out I bought the first property we looked at after seeing many more. So maybe Darci even had a sense of the best property for me from our short conversations. Darci was able to answer any question I had with either her computer or her cell phone. She was a master of both. Her knowledge of the community, who to go to for the answers, and her very swift ability on the computer made very efficient use of every moment we had to complete the goal.

Since I was in town for only the weekend Darci seemed to devote any spare time she had to accommodating my search which included coming off the mountain on an awesome perfect ski day and fitting me in between 2 jobs she was working and a visiting friend. She made her appointments on the dot and we got a lot done.

Darci's help did not stop after the deal was complete. After the deal was complete she made sure we got set up in Crested Butte was always available with advice and suggestions.

The deal went smoothly and I am now a happy satisfied proud property owner in the Pitchfork community in Mt. Crested Butte.
