If you have never been to a show at the La Jolla Playhouse, I encourage you to do so. Tobacco Road, the longest running Broadway show ever (December 1933 - May 1941) is playing at the La Jolla Playhouse from now through October 26th.

"Tobacco Road is no-holds-barred theater that fascinated 1930s audiences in part because it commented on their precarious depression era lifestyle in a provocative and surprising way," explained David Schweizer, Tobacco Road's Director. "Once again, now, it has intense contemporary relevance, in fact, it couldn't be more timely given our current economic crises. Yet, there is also something about the play's portrait of survival and human resourcefulness -scrappy, cunning human resourcefulness in the face of unbearable odds- that I find inspiring."

DEL CHARRO WOODS in La Jolla is one of my favorite developments because of the location and the size of these multi-level homes. There are 53 sophisticated townhomes in Del Charro, which were built in 1976. These homes range in size from 1,882 to 2,236 square feet of interior living space. All have two car attached garages, laundry rooms and there is guest parking. This is one of the few La Jolla townhomes developments in the La Jolla Shores area that feature a tennis court, pool, spa, sauna and community BBQ area. Recently they have had the roads resurfaced, the roofs redone and the exteriors painted. The HOA dues cover the exterior and common area maintenance, including water, sewer & trash pick-up.
