Why Is Cindy McCain the best kept secret in this Election?

07-16-08
Authored by: Mary Thomas

Cindy McCain...Very Interesting! No comparison between her and Obama's "unproud" wife.

Cindy McCain Cindy

Bet you would have never guessed this one! No matter your politics. The media will never tell of this, so pass it on. GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's wife. All I ever saw was this attractive woman standing beside John. I was surprised how talented and involved with world problems she is.

This is a summary of the article. She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs teacher. After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.

They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain separate. She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these countries on a detonation team and service on their board.

Cindy

They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq, another son in the Naval Academy, a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ., an adopted daughter in high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm. Raised kids in Phoenix, Az. rather than Washington DC. (better atmosphere) He commuted.

In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh. Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with severe cleft palate. She did so without first telling her husband.

CINDY The couple adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems. They have a Family Foundation for children's causes. She's active with 'Halo Trust' - to clear land mines, provide water and food in war ravaged and developing countries. She will join an overseas mission of 'Operation Smile', a charity for corrective surgery on children's faces. Cindy

She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers. She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery process. I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. She sounds more capable than Hillary or Obama. We would really get two for the price of one. A person with business and international experience. John did work for the firm for awhile when he left the Navy. She, however, has the real business experience. Very interesting.

WELL, ALL WE NEED IS TO BE OUR OWN PRESS THESE DAYS SINCE I DON'T SEE NIGHTLINE OR THE PRESS PICKING THIS UP. IT IS TOO POSITIVE TO BE HEADLINES, THEY WOULD RATHER DO A SPIN ON REV. WRIGHT AND OBHAMA, OR HILLARY AND OBHAMA BAD NEW TRAVELS FAST BUT THE GOOD TAKES MORE TIME. THIS ENCOURAGING BIT OF INFORMATION SHOULD RAISE MORE THAN MILLIONS FOR MCCAIN FORGET ABOUT OBHAM TERRORISTS(HAMAS) BACKING THAT THE PUBLIC DOESN'T SEEM TO HEAR ABOUT. JUST REMEMBER I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

Just Another Miracle* More Angels in the Alley

07-11-08
Authored by: Mary Thomas

I was reading an article, about a young Christian student named Diane who was home for the summer and visiting friends late on evening. She had to unexpectedly walk home alone and it was a small town, she only lived a few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Daine asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, she decided to take a short cut to her house, however half way down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for "God's Protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and serenity wrapped around her, she felt as though someone was walking with her.

When she reached the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.

The following day she read in the newspaper that a young girl was raped in the alley just 20 mins. after she passed by.Feeling overwhlemed by the tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and praying for God to help this woman, she decided to go to the poice station. She felt she could recognize the man and told them her story. Diane identified the man in a police lineup and the man immediately broked down and confessed.

The officer thanked her for her braveness and asked if there was anything he could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious why the man had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her."

I can not tell you the times, especially from Missionaries that come to speak at our church that I hear hundreds of accounts like this of God's Angel's protecting us. God is capable of doing many miracles, you just have to love him and believe in his love and protection. Just ask for it and he will protect you.

Authored by: Mary Thomas

I received this from AARP and just wanted to pass it on to our over 50 Active Rain Members and those who are worried about the future of Medicare. This is an issue that will affect all of us one day.If you want a good education in the seriousness of the health care crisis watch the moving that my Physician/surgeon recommended to me which you can find at any video store-"Sicko"a great documentary by Michael Moore a real eyeopener to our Health Care System and it's dangers. Elderly are losing their homes due to having to pay health care bills, it is really sad. Don't wait until you are the victim, Pick up the fight now!

The Health Care benefits are a national crisis in this Country, especially for the elderly. Please help by clicking on the link below to encorage Presidient Bush not to veto this bill.

PRESIDENT BUSH IS THREATENING TO VETO
THE BIPARTISAN MEDICARE IMPROVEMENTS FOR PATIENTS AND PROVIDERS ACT OF 2008!

There's no time to waste - tell President Bush to sign the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 TODAY!

Mary, here is how your Senators voted on the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008:
- Sen. Feinstein voted for Keeping Medicare Fair and
- Sen. Boxer voted for Keeping Medicare Fair.

The fight is not over.

Tell President Bush to sign the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 into law TODAY!

Dear Mary,

This is the email I have waited five months to send you - Wednesday, the U.S. Senate voted to Keep Medicare Fair by passing the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008!

I am overwhelmed with pride in the work that you and hundreds of thousands of other AARP supporters did to make this victory in the Senate happen. Our tremendous grassroots support shook Washington this week and everyone here at AARP joins you in celebrating this win!

But now, Mary - I need you to help me bring this campaign home. President George W. Bush is threatening to veto this critical legislation and time is running out.

Tell President Bush to Keep Medicare Fair by signing the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 into law TODAY!

As you read this, President Bush is likely hearing from the same folks that worked against us during the Keep Medicare Fair campaign. That's why he must hear from ALL OF US immediately!

The legislation that the Senate passed Wednesday would:

  • Help ensure that Medicare patients continue to have access to doctors;
  • Improve prevention coverage and services;
  • Improve low-income protections; and
  • Provide improved coverage for mental health services.

There's no time to waste - let's celebrate two victories this week, one in the U.S. Senate and one in the White House!

Click here to tell President Bush to Keep Medicare Fair by signing the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 into law.

I knew we would be able to achieve victory in our campaign to Keep Medicare Fair if we tapped into our grassroots support and sure enough, we did! Now it's time to finish the job!

Thank you for your support. I look forward to continuing to work together to achieve victories like the one we saw this week.

Sincerely,

Barry Jackson

Obama new Christian Vote Campaign and Iranian Family Jailed for reading the bible.

07-10-08
Authored by: Mary Thomas

Well, According to KKLa.com and Frank Pastore Show, Obama is targeting the younger christians , they figure he needs just 5% of the evangelist population vote to help him win. So along with his charm and charisma he will be hosting Christian Rock Concerts and 1000 House parties for Christian Students of voting age. He is hoping that his charm will cover up the fact that his track record shows he votes against God's laws on Same sex marriage and Abortion. So don't let the charisma light cover up his track voting record. For more on Obama's voting record turn to kkla.com and the Frank Pastore Show.

Very enlightening...Christians, please educate your young people and keep them well informed.

Does anyone know if the Muslims have started a new religion like the Messanic Jews have that incorporate belief in Jesus into their faith in America yet? I would love to know if there is such a thing in the Muslim Community for some friends.

Please pray for this Iranian family that was caught reading the bible.I heard this on Jay Seccular Live, A family was just jailed for reading the bible there and they are trying to pass to a permanent law that if caught reading the bible they will be given the death penalty.The government also wants to put their 4 year old daughter in an institution. Please pray for this Iranian family. We take our freedom for granted in this country.Cross Picture Courtesy of Google.com

FINALLY SOME RELIEF FOR THE JUMBO LOAN MARKET

06-18-08
Authored by: Mary Thomas

Well, according to a recent article in the Los Angeles Times recently, it looks like the best deal in town for Jumbo loans is a full document loan from FHA. It has been slow in starting but now the program is coming together and starting to move. The rates are great and I just heard that the San Francisco Home market is starting to pick up as per 3Oceans Real Estate.com.

The best source for Bay Area Real Estate. Which means to us in Southern Californian that we will soon be following suit, as Southern California usually runs 6 months behind Northern California in home market trends. So all you buyers that have been prcrastinating and waiting for the market to drop should make your move now or get caught in the rising market.

Here is some partial info from the article, link to full story below:

"It's the best deal in town for many borrowers," said Guy Cecala, publisher of Inside Mortgage Finance. "Anybody who's looking for a conforming jumbo mortgage has to check out FHA."

The flickers of hope in the jumbo market don't apply at all to anyone looking to borrow more than $729,750. Rates for those loans averaged 7.31% last week.

"The true jumbo rates are still pretty ugly, for lack of a better word," Donatoni said.

Even with the declining rates on conforming jumbos, the increased availability of such loans is likely to be gradual, experts said.

"The downside is it's too restrictive for a lot of borrowers," said Stuart Cooper, senior loan officer at American Capital Corp. in El Segundo. "For a lot of people who are refinancing, it doesn't help them too much."

That describes Garcia.

He has a good job -- he opened his own veterinary practice three years ago, working out of a mobile van throughout Los Angeles County -- and a strong credit history.

He wants to borrow about $650,000 to pay off his mortgage and student loans, replacing his current adjustable-rate loan with a 30-year fixed-rate.

But Garcia is looking for a loan for which he doesn't have to fully document his income, and he's not sure when he'll find one.

"When things drag on for six months it becomes stressful," he said. "You start to feel like it's not going to come through."

THESE ARE ALL REPEATS WHICH I DON'T MIND REPEATING......THis is my official flag day blog: It really makes you think about all that we do and all who risk their lives for us.

When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.

He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.'

You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then there was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break one of the French engineers came back into the room saying, 'Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb them?'
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: 'Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electric power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?'
You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, 'Whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English.' He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied,
'Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German.'

You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...
A group of Americans (retired teachers) recently went to France on a tour. Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on. 'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically. Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. 'Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.' The American said, 'The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it.' 'Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France !'
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained. 'Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in '44 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find any damn Frenchmen to show it to.'
You could have heard a pin drop.
A couple glasses of wine!
06-13-08
Authored by: Mary Thomas
I started reading the Book if you only had 30 days to live. For just one moment in this busy, overworked real estate market stop and take a breather. Ask Yourself, if I had only 30 days to live what would I want to do.
For me it was spending time with family, writing my book on God's Miracles and enjoying every moment to the fullest. I know I would not be worrying about my Bank Of America screw up on my credit, paying bills or dealing with difficult clients and agents. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff..What would you do for your last 30 days??
I love this article I recieved via unkown email:
"A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and
empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it
was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas
between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else He asked once more if the
jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two glasses of wine from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand. The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
important things; your family, your children, your health, your
friends, and your favorite passions; things that if everything else was lost and
only they remained, your life would still be full.'
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house,
and your car. The sand is everything else; the small stuff.
If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'There is no
room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out
to dinner. Play another 18. Do one more run down the ski slope. There
will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of
the golf balls first; the things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the wine
represented. The professor smiled. I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show yo u
that no matter how full your life may seem, there' s always room for a couple
of glasses of wine with a friend.
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hoursin a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 glasses of wine."
SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium.
With their rich maroon gowns flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost . as grown up as they felt.
Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.
This class would NOT pray during the commencements----not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were routine.....until the final speech received a standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened. H
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!1 in unison.
The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and said, 'GOD BLESS YOU,
each and every one of you!' And he walked off stage...
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.
Isn't this a wonderful story? Pass it on to all your friends.........and GOD BLESS YOU!!!! This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland
I applaude these Godly students for having the guts and courage to carry on a tradition in this country that has been taken awasy from us under the disguise of another lawsuit or the Political Correctness that is really the new cover of political crepe to cover up that a minority vote and money can sue their way into control.
It is a shame and embarrassment to the citizens and the silent majority of this country.
It is sad how the majority of Christians sit non chalant while out right and tradtions are being pulled awasy from us...All I have to say is when you have to answer to your God when God asks you on judgement day Why did you remain silent when they took away prayer in the schools, I hope you have an answer ready or at least you can say I sneezed!
This is pathetic what we are allowing to happen in this country, IT is about time the Silent Majority starts making some noise. I even read a blog the other day that insuated that the silent majoirty was a minority..
Thank God for Amercian Center for Law and Justice fighting for our rights, each case that has one of our Godly traditions lost has the ACLJ countering suing or trying to defend it..ANd they have an awesome record of winning!
Praise the Lord for Jay Secular and the ACLJ and Brave Students like these..
Watch next some lone atheist with a pocket of money will sue you for sneezing at your Graduation.....
THis offends me, I don't know about you! Pray for our Superior Courts , they are understaffed and need more conservative judges. This is the main reason this is happening..Change is on the way soon!
nglel Stop long enough to find Your God!!!! HE will show you why we fight for him!!!!
"Paul Harvey and Prayer
Paul Harvey says:
I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don't agree with Darwin , but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution.
Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game.
So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
But it's a Christian prayer, some will argue.
Yes, and this is the United States of America , a country founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect---somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem , I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad , I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong-match in China , I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome .
But what about the atheists? That is another argument.
What about them?
Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer!
Unfortunately, 1 or 2 will make that call. And 1 or 2 will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep.
Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now, a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.
God, help us.
And if that last sentence offends you, well ... just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we let that 1 or 2 who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority don't care what they want. It is time the majority rules! It's time we tell them: you don't have to pray; you don't have to say the pledge of allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right. But by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back and we WILL WIN!
God bless us one and all ... especially those who denounce Him. God bless America , despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all.
God bless our service men and women who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.
May 2008 be the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions.
Keep looking up.
--Paul Harvey"
I just recieved this special Voter Review from Craig Huey's Reality Alert: Special Election Issue
Your Resource for a Christian Worldview for those of you that are interested. .I believe that important care needs to be taken with the nominees for the California Supreme Court...See my article on our serious condition of the United States Supreme Courts. I hope this is helpful to you as it was in the last election. If you go to electionforum.org, Craig has a printer friendly guide to take with you to the polls.
Craig's email article below:
"May 28, 2008
Concerned Voter,
Voting your values has never been so important.
That's why I'm sending you our recommendations for the June Primary. Recommendations are listed below by county.
These are based on candidates who will best represent a Christian worldview.
Not all are Christians. Not all are perfect. But all will be better than their opponent with a greater Biblical worldview.
Some offices are purposefully left blank--do not vote for these offices. You can leave these blank on your ballot; all your other votes will count.
Print this out--you can take it right into the poll booth with you if you'd like.
Also, you can pass these recommendations on to friends, church members and relatives.
