Just to discount anyone who thought the market was down, many of my South Amboy listings are getting a lot of showings. This trend has been going on since the beginning of September and a few of my properties have received multiple offers since that time. Many of my buyers have also come out of the woodwork looking to purchase as well. This is a good time in the market!

SEPTEMBER 26, 2008

As of September 1st there has been a spike in showing appointments throughout listings in the South Amboy area. Homes that may have had as few as 1 or 2 showings a week are now receiving 2 or 3 times that much since the first of the month. Many people have been asking me exactly what does this mean for the market? Well, first off this market has been a very tough one to track. I can tell you from experience that I personally haven't seen a market like this one, so it is difficult to gauge exactly what is going to come around the corner. I believe that what is happening is a combination of buyers who have been waiting for the right time have decided to get in to the game and take home buying seriously. Simultaneously, I believe we have the buyers who would like to find something before the holidays come around hitting the market.

Either way it is good to see the activity in the marketplace.
