Looking for an easy read on The $700 Billion BailOut?

09-24-08
Susan Buhr

Who would have thought that we the people of the United States could be bailing out this mortgage mess? I know some people don't want the government to bailout the mortgage companies who got us into this mess in the first place, but for centuries governments have been cleaning up the financial mess its people have created. I think we and our government should bailout the bad mortgages and of course put some strong strings to the bailout. The linked article puts this very complicated issue of $700 billion bailout into prospective, relatively easy to understand and points out what kind of strings we should consider attaching to the financial companies who created this mess. I think this bail out is very important to stablize central Ohio huge foreclosure market.

A Tax Credit of $7,500 to First Time Home Buyers!

08-26-08
Susan Buhr

The federal government continues to provide incentives for first time home buyers. If you are thinking about buying your first home, you should buy in the next 12 months. Because, interest rates are still low, there are a lot of homes to choose from, and this $7,500 federal tax credit would go a long way, read this link of how this tax credit works. Be careful this so called "credit" is a loan from the goverment, so make sure this is what you want to add your future obligations. I still think it is a good idea.
