Homer Alaska 4th of July Bay Realty Block Party and Parade

This is our 10th Annual Bay Realty 4th of July Block Party! The Party Starts at 4pm and there is food fun and music for all... come color the tables and have some fun! Parade starts at 6!

Jack and Becky at J& B's Smok'ng BBQ are smoking the dogs for us. Coach Wyatt and the Mariner football team will be serving drinks and raising money for the Mariner Booster Club

Homer Alaska: July the 4th is a Big Day for us at Bay Realty! It is our 35th Birthday/Anniversary! This is also the 10th year we have hosted a big Bay Realty Block Party! Hot Dogs for Everybody and a fund raiser for the Mariners Football Club.

The party starts at 4pm this year and the parade starts at 6pm so come get your dog and stake your spot for the parade. Music and Balloons and FUN!

The Homer Chamber of Commerce has a fine staff this year who are going all out to have the best parade ever. The theme is Alaska is 50 Years old this year so we will be celebrating our statehood as well as America's Birthday! Gay Wolfe will Sing the National Anthem and the parade will start.

The judges are on the balcony of Bay Realty so the floats all stop there to sing and dance and strut their stuff. In the past we have had some mighty fine floats and a few not so fine but we like them all!There will be fancy blue poodles and kids on bikes, the seniors will sing and dont forget the King and Queen Pioneer! And of course Mark will be there to tell us one of his sotries atop his horse!

So come one Come all Everyone is invited! It will be fun and the best parade of the year! Well at least it wont be as cold as Winter Carnival! and Noah will be here to Greet You!

Bears and Fishing in Alaska... this is from a friends trip from Coopers Landing on the Kenai Peninsula about 100 miles from Homer....

they fly you in and then you fish from the boat... her 5 year old son Noah was loving every minute of it... Amazing how the bears and the people get along... We have a lot of bears this year ... big fire took some of their cover and so we are seeing more of them... We lost one of our rental untis to the fire... but no body was hurt and they finally maintained it and put it out...

Is he cute or What??? He loved the plane ride!

Fishing with Bears can be very dangerous... in fact it isn't something I would recommend ... unless you have a guide...someone who knows the boundaries, the danger zones, how to behave and what to do... much like a Realtor can guide a buyer and seller thru the complicated maize of paperwork and details necessary to complete a successful transactions in purchasing or selling a home... these days the rules and regulations are changing so fast we all need to keep on top of it to make sure everything is right as " Rain" and the buyer can buy what the seller will sell.

June 6th 2009 Our parking lot had the honor of hosting Little Dancers! It was so Fun to watch and we all enjoyed that day! The Teachers had as much fun as the children and the crowd enjoyed every moment!
