BOO BAR !!! COURTESY OF MAGIC CITY TITLE
So what exactly is a Boo Bar?
It's a fantastic spread of cookies, candies, cake and salty snacks!

Debbie McCorkle and Sandra Sloan-Battles of Magic City Title, Inc. came by our RE/MAX Advantage office on Valleydale Road Thursday afternoon and brought all these yummy goodies for us to snack on! They even brought Halloween bags we could fill and take treats home to our kids too!

Debbie and Sandra are setting up the Boo Bar again this morning at our Vestavia office. Surely there is some reason I need to run by there!
Thanks Debbie and Sandra.....we appreciate you!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!

The Fly Jock: Tom Joyner is in the 'Ham for the Magic City Classic
In 2006, Tom Joyned served as the Grand Master of the 65th Magic City Classic Parade and Ambassador on "Game Day" and I think he has been coming to the Magic City Classic ever since, along with his TJMS crew (J. Anthony Brown and Sybil Wilikes).
John Joyner and the crew are taping the show live this morning alongside the 1000's of tailgaters at Legion Field. NOTE TO Tailgates: If you called in today with a sudden case of the Magic City Classic Flu...Stay away from the microphone. Stay away from the microphone.
This year's Grand Master or should I say grand mistress of the Classic Parade is Lisa Raye-McCoy from the hit show Sinle Ladies
Others expected around town for the Classic weekend are: Comedians and radio show hosts Steve Harvey and Rickey Smiley. MC Lyte, Frankie Beverly and Maze will perform inside Legion Field on Saturday, Comedian George Wallace, singer Estelle; and celebrity DJs Biz Markie, MC Lyte and Jermaine Dupri just to name a few.
The Magic City Blues Explosion is tomorrow night featuring ,The Manhattans, Mel Waiters, Denise LaSalle, T.K. Soul. & Latim-MO.
Check out the events for the weekend. Your head will be spinning and you'll be wishing you were here.
Ain't no party like a Magic City Classic Party

Bham Real Estate is just as susceptible to market fluctuation as the rest of the major cities in the US, but there is good news: according to data obtained from Zillow.com, Birmingham home prices are up 7.7% year-over-year as of the period ending 9/30/2011.
You'll find some demographic info for Bham Real Estate here.

This has been a test of the efficacy of ActiveRain's Google Juice.

Market Report: Centerpoint/Roebuck Area Remains a Hot Foreclosure Market
The Centerpoint/Roebuck area was among the hardest hit at the height of the foreclosure debacle in 2008. Foreclosures in these areas were hitting the market so fast, that for a while, no one knew what was happening. In September 2011 66% of the foreclosure sales were acquired at $40k or less.
Today, Centerpoint and Roebuck still remain a mecca for foreclosure sales, but thanks to investors taking advantage of the unfortunate situation, resales have spiked and previous foreclosed homes are how new homes for those who had the wherewithall to take advantage of the lowest interest rates in recent history. And on top of that, many of the homebuyers are now living in homes that have either been completely remodeled or significantly update.

Let's Get This Party Started: It's Finally Here....Magic City Classic Weekend
Or as we used to say back in the day "It's A On Like-A Pop-A-Cone."
One thing that is undeniable: It ain't no party like a Magic City Classic Tailgate Party. RV's have been pulling in to town all weeks and the flood gates to Legion Field RV parking swung wide open.
Everybody is welcome to stop by any RV and dine like fat cats. Get your choice of ribs, chicken, grilled corn on the cob if you fancy a little soul food delight. Oh but dont' stop there. If you feel like Living Lavida "Lobster" you'll find that too. As a matter of fact, if you taste pallet desires it or craves it, you'll find it among the hundreds of parties going on at Legion Field.

We've got alumni from all points north, south, east and west that have converged on the city for the game, the food, the fun, the commarardarie and much, much more.

As for me. Well, I've had my heyday back in the day...parading around the stands of Legion Field decked out in, 5 inch heels, dressed to the nines from head to toe. But this year, I'll just be chilling at Friday night's concertat the Fair Park Arena featuring the mighty, mighty...............
