We need your help!

Only days remain before the winner of a dream vacation for two is announced Saturday night at the Mystery Dinner Theater production of Murder on the Nile.

You still have time to buy a ticket that gives you the opportunity to win a five-night stay at an exclusive, all inclusive resort on the Mayan Riviera.

But that's not all. Airfare for two is included in the package, and it looks as if only 100 tickets will be sold, enhancing your opportunity to win.

The donation is $50, and it will go toward supporting our theater. You can download your ticket by clicking here. Print and fill out the ticket and then send it along with your check to the Pell City Center. You can also purchase a ticket from board members and at the Center.

When the community came together to build something special, the result was the Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts. It has truly been a shining star for our community, but budget cuts threaten its continued progress.

That's why we are in the midst of this fundraiser to help us build on the strong foundation laid over the past four years.

Murder on the Nile tickets remain

There are a few tickets remaining for the Pell City Players production of Murder on the Nile, an encore performance of its popular mystery dinner theater.

Performances are Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, with dinner beginning at 6 both nights.

Williams and Patsy Cline. Williams, performed by national sensation Jason Petty, and Western Artists' Female Vocalist of the Year Carolyn Martina as Cline come together for a night to remember. Martin blends passion, experience and soulful elegance into her performance. And Rolling Stone called Petty's performance of

Williams a "forceful, clear-eyed depiction..." The result is the exhilarating feeling of

Season spectaculars up ahead

Glenn Leonard's Temptations Revue comes to town this Saturday night, kicking off the new year for the Pell City Center to the world famous and unmistakable sounds of Motown. Only a few tickets still remain, and you can order them today by clicking here.

On Feb. 26, "Country Royalty" takes center stage with the unforgettable performance of Jason Petty and Carolyn Martin as Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. Rolling Stone calls national sensation Petty's performance a "forceful, clear eyed depiction" of the country music legend. And Martin's performances have earned her "Western Artist Female Vocalist of the Year."

What St. Patrick's Day celebration would be complete without the music and heritage of Ireland? Head to the Pell City Center March 12 for the Hooley band, a talented trio sure to delight with the spirited music of Irish roots we all seem to adopt this time of year. Add to that, the dancers and their lively steps, and this will be a night and a St. Patrick's Day to remember.

What do plays, musicals, bluegrass, Motown, jazz, symphony and operettas have in common?

They all have graced the stage of the Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts over our four-year history. Our schoolchildren have performed there, and they have attended events in this state-of-the-art theater -- giving them so many more opportunities for cultural education than they would have been able to have just a few, short years ago.

As we turn the calendar of a new year, the Pell City Center has become a regional center for performing arts despite difficult budget challenges, and all should take pride in seeing its success.

That's why we ask you today -- if you haven't already -- to join our family of supporters as a member of the Pell City Center.

It is not just a donation, it is an investment in the future of our community and its quality of life and enables our theater to maintain its progress.		 It's easy to help
