Two Separate Boards of Realtors?
If you've ever searched for homes and real estate in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas of Alabama, you probably did not realize that we have two separate Multiple Listing Services (MLS) that are NOT connected. We have the Mobile MLS System and the Baldwin County MLS System, and each has its own Board of Realtor Association. Most agents are not members of both, because of the additional cost to the agents. I believe that to best serve clients, a membership in both Associations is needed, so I choose to be a member of both boards.
Why is it Important for Your Realtor to Belong to Both Boards and MLS's?
Both MLS Systems have listings for both counties by cities. The MLS listings are also uploaded to numerous participating websites that broadcast the listings worldwide for maximum exposure. When a buyer is searching for properties from either MLS, many homes and listings are not represented and cannot be found even though they are for sale. A seller's best interest is not being served, if a buyer cannot easily locate the property for sale when a local agent subscribes to only one MLS.
Both MLS Listings Combined
MLS Access to Both Mobile and Baldwin Counties
To simplify the search process, I have set up the above website that finally does what our two MLS systems do not. This link combines BOTH MLS systems into one easy to navigate website for a customer's ease of use. Feel free to email this link to friends and family who happen to be in the market to either buy or sell property in Mobile or Baldwin Counties.
Whether you are looking for homes in Fairhope or Foley, Daphne or Dauphin Island, Summerdale or Satsuma, Silverhill or Saraland, Mobile or Magnolia Springs, Bayou la Batre or Bay Minette and all towns in between, you'll find them represented.

Al Eastern Shore Real Estate: Welcome to Fairhope
Description to follow will allow you to take a driving tour through the Eastern Shore. Please remember this is a partial list but we want to share our natural beauty with you.
Founded in 1894 by a group of idealists from Iowa seeking a Utopian quality of life focused on common ownership of the land, Fairhope has evolved rapidly into one of the main centers of the Eastern Shore's commercial and cultural activity. Its founders believed that their progressive project had "fair hope" of coming to fruition and indeed the city's prominence in the area may well be due in part to its heritage of fortitude and perseverance.
Bright flowers, brick walkways, downtown galleries and shops all add to the small town charm of this beautiful city. The public pier with its rose garden, beach area, and duck pond is the hub for most of the year. Activities from sailing to sunbathing can almost always be viewed from anywhere along the bluffs and waterfront in Fairhope. Even a potential "Jubilee" can be spotted, under rare conditions of course, in the summer. There is a wide variety of public and private schools as well as two colleges located in Fairhope.
Residential areas run along the bay, wrap around the downtown area, and branch out further from town in a more country setting. From small garden homes to huge estate homes, with bay views or with lush gardens, it is all available in Fairhope.
Fairhope has the quaintness and the atmosphere to allow you to stroll through Downtown. Downtown is locally called Fruit and Nut District and The Bluff Area, which both are walking distance to town and the Bay.

Stone Creek....."It's all about lifestyle."
Stone Creek is a unique community on 330 Acres within Fairhope, Alabama that combines modern-day conveniences within a scenic, natural setting. Located approximately 12 miles south of I-10 on Highway 181, Stone Creek is only a few minutes drive to downtown Fairhope. However, when considering the mixed-use master plan of the development, one will hardly ever have to leave...at most you will be able to simply hop on your bike or get in your golf cart to head to the village center! The community will not only merge homes, villas and town homes, but also retail and service-oriented business oriented to have frontage on Highway 181.
The developers actually traveled the Southeast to look at what other builders were doing in traditional neighborhoods....and now they're working to bring that back here. Rear alleyways, nature trails and sidewalks provide easy access and friendly walkways; abundant open spaces are ornamented with hand-hewn arbors, large boulders and native plants and grasses; tree-lined streets and boulevards are enhanced with surrounding water features such as cascading waterfalls, a stocked lake and a beautiful community swimming pool.
The homes within the neighborhood are each designed and constructed with great care by a Builder's Guild of 17 Builders, each a member of the Baldwin County Home Builders Association. Home designs combine Coastal elements with Southern architectural charm and are reviewed by a professional architecture board at various stages of construction.
This development is unlike anything I've seen in the area and I must say that I'm quite proud to work with Rance Reehl, one of the developers. This community draws people from all stages of life and all backgrounds. Having lived in dense, urban cities, I personally have never quite thought of myself as the "rural" type, but Stone Creek changes my thoughts on that. When all phases are completed, I could easily see myself sitting on my expansive porch...waving to the neighbors as they walk their dogs or stroll their children....wasting away the afternoon OR for a little more spice I would probably jump on my (electric!) golf cart, head up to the village market, grab a cool beverage and some dinner, and head back home for a pot-luck dinner with friends....it really is all about lifestyle.
The Stone Creek Lodge is open every afternoon (and weekend mornings as well) for viewing.

I decided today that I would mosey on through The Waters near Fairhope, a grand and breathtaking new development complete with lakes and boathouses on the lakefront lots. Home construction has been ongoing for about six or eight months now and some of those homes are now complete, exept for those punch lists and final walkthroughs, of course.

One of the homes under construction will be the showcase home at the annual Parade of Homes sponsored by the Home Builder's Association in September or October of this year. It is being built by Pat Achee; some of the others are Christian Augustin, Todd Booth, Dan Mooney, and Cochran Custom Homes.
The lakefront lots all have a dock and gazebo:

Families have begun to move in to the finished homes they've purchased and the whole subdivision, (I wish there was a more lovely word than subdivision for this development) is beginning to look more settled and more stately. These homes are some of the finest I have had the pleasure of viewing, with every imaginable luxury and no detail overlooked.
There are common areas, that only pictures can describe and even then not do this development justice:

There are currently seven homes on the market for sale, in various stages of completion. They range in price from $849,000 to $1,385,000. There are homes that were and are being custom built for those who purchased their own lots and then contracted with their builders.
All in all, The Waters at Fairhope is truly exquisite, and it is very exciting to see so much construction and activity going on there. Call me impressed.
