Helena residents and folks from all over know the Buck Creek Festival is an event not to be missed!  Back for its tenth year, the festival will once again be held in Old Town Helena's Amphitheatre Park along the banks of Buck Creek.

 

Live Music Friday and Saturday!

Food!

Arts and Crafts!

Activities for the Kiddos!

Rubber Duck Race!

 

Don't miss the duck race at 3 PM Saturday!  Get you own duck (or a flock) and cheer them on to the finish line!  Rubber ducks will be available for purchase the day of the race or can be found now at these local business:

Bead Biz, The Depot, Regions Bank in Helena, & Alabama Telco in Helena

Music and Halloween Fun in Helena AL!

JAMMIN AT THE JUNCTION!

 

 

 

 

Jammin At The Junction is a benefit concert honoring the memory of Larry Childers, a much-loved resident of Helena.   Mr. Childers believed in being involved and served tirelessly in the community as well as a number of charities that were dear to his heart.  After his death in February 2009, Larry's good friend, Bo Bice, came up with the idea of a benefit concert to honor Larry's memory and to extend that sense of community involvement and to continue to help the charities that Larry was so passionate about.  With the help of many, many friends the event became a reality and the inaugural concert took place September 2009.

 

Jammin At The Junction will return to the Helena Amphitheatre for the 2nd year on Saturday, October 30th.  This year the event will also include Halloween fun!

 

Trunk or Treat begins at 4 pm in the Amphitheatre (The City of Helena is observing Halloween on Saturday this year for neighborhood trick or treating).  A Costume Contest will be held determine the best childrens' and adult costume......you're going to want to remember to bring your camera!  Vendors are providing food and drinks and there will be inflatables for the kids to enjoy.

Proceeds from Jammin At The Junction will benefit The City of Helena, Helena Kiwanis, Safe House and Veterans.

4 PAWS FUR A PINK CAUSE

5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

*** PETS ON PARADE ***

in Old Town Helena

Put on your sneakers and join in the fun on Saturday, September 25th in Old Town Helena! You can run, walk or simply enjoy watching all the pets on parade.....there will be awards given for the best dressed so be sure to bring your camera! Stick around and visit the vendor booths and check out the live and silent auctions.

Here's the schedule of events.....

7:00 AM ~ Registration and Packet Pickup

8:00 AM ~ 5K Begins

9:30 AM ~ 5K Awards Ceremony

10:00 AM ~ 1 Mile Fun Run and Pets On Parade

11:00 AM ~ Best Dressed Pet Awards Ceremony

You can register at Trak Shak, or online. Packets will be available for pickup the day before the race at Trak Shak in Homewood from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Entry Fees and Other Information

5K Entry Fee ~ $25 by September 20th, $30 after the 21st.

1 Mile Fun Run Entry Fee ~ $20 by September 20th, $25 after the 21st.

(Registration closes at 8 PM on September 24th)

If you are not walking or running but would still like to purchase a T-Shirt, they are $15 by (you guessed it...the 20th), $20 after the 21st.

This 5K and Fun Run will benefit Last Chance Dog Rescue of Alabama and Susan G. Komen For The Cure.

It's summer!  It's hot!  It's time once again for family movie night in the park! 

 

On Friday nights the place to be is the Helena Amphitheatre in Old Town Helena!

 

Shows start at 8 PM and below is the movie schedule for this summer.  The Amphitheatre is easy to find and located in the heart of Old Town Helena, right by the bridge over Buck Creek and right across from The Depot Deli & Grill.
