My son is grown, so I do not make it to the ball park much anymore. My friend goes to all of her grand children's ball games in Moody, and tells me incredible stories about the Miracle League Park that was built for handicapped children. I drive past this field all the time and have never stopped. Today I did, and I was impressed with what I saw. I know by looking at this field that all of the parents of disabled children are thankful to all of the people who donated money and time to build this remarkable field for children with disabilities.

The Moody Miracle League Park ball field surface was specially designed for wheel chairs and walking devices. Look at the picture below and you will see how the dugouts are designed to accommodate wheel chairs with ease.

Information on the Moody Miracle League Web Site shows that this park was the first in the State of Alabama and services children from, St Clair, Calhoun, Etowah, Talladega, Jefferson and Shelby counties with special needs. It gives them the opportunity to play baseball. What a glorious sight this must be, to see the smiles on these children's faces. I am going to check the schedule and see when the next game is going to be. I hope to see you at the Moody Miracle League Park to cheer on these fine young people.
