So back in October the word is out that all the leaders in the FLW fishing tournament on Lake Guntersville AL are using The Alabama Rig. So we all head over to Guntersville Al for the final days weigh in to find out for ourselves. What happens from there was just pretty amazing.
First, there was an interview with the FLW TV Crew...
Then there was another interview for a professional blogger who writes for the fishing community...
Then the weigh in is about to begin. This is the crowd on hand for the event...
Of the Top 10 final fishermen, 8 or 9 were fishing with The Alabama Rig and singing its praises! What an exciting day.

This part was the most exciting of all for me to watch...people asking for autographs from the inventor of The Alabama Rig, Andy Poss.
Why is this story important to me? The inventor of The Alabama Rig, Andy Poss, is my brother in law. I have watched this man work his entire life to try to make his dream come true. He LOVES to fish. It is in his blood. He is happiest when he is on the water with rod and reel in hand. So to see all his hard work, his Dream, come true with the success of The Alabama Rig, is just amazing. I am so proud of him and for him!
Andy and his wife(chief marketing director) have worked hard to make this happen. Their Dream became a reality when they received the offer to partner with Mann's Bait company to mass produce The Alabama Rig.
Congratulations Andy and Tammy Poss! Your hard work has paid off! So proud for you both!

There were 12 homes sold in Muscle Shoals AL during the month of October 2011. This figure is down from 20 sales for the month of Sept 2011. Even though sales were down, pending sales almost doubled from the previous month. So this is still a good indication that our market is improving.
While sales are continuing to improve, the one thing I am noticing is the price point of homes sold. The majority of sales are in the $100k-$150k price range.
The number of homes sold in Muscle Shoals Al has remained steady over the past 5 years. To me, this is an indication that our market never took the hit that other areas did. Muscle Shoals AL homes prices have remained steady as well.

And the good news is...sales are up in Muscle Shoals Alabama! Pending sales are also up and new listings are virtually the same. Of the 20 homes sold, 9 were under $100,000, 9 under $200000 and 2 under $250,000. And this same scenario seems to be true in all areas of The Shoals Area.
Looking at the graph below you will see that our market is definitely on the rise. Home sales have almost doubled from the previous year. Hopefully, this trend will continue and our market will continue to get better.
