Oxygen Therapy for Wellness

Wellness involves pretty basic things actually. It is basic, not rocket science. For instance it has to do with such elements as, pure water, food, rest and sleep, exercise, sunshine, loving relationships and oxygen. Yes, the actual air we breathe. That's about as basic as you can get.

The air we breathe is absolutely critical for health and life because humans cannot live for over a few minutes without oxygen.

Throughout the rest of the world, oxygen therapy including using oxygen, ozone, and hydrogen peroxide are commonly used to treat a wide variety of diseases, including cancer, HIV/AIDS, and arthritis. However, in the United States, these highly effective and inexpensive therapies have been largely ignored.

Let's not be left behind, we need to get with the program, so here are the facts.

Did you know?

The experts tell us that 90% OF OUR ENERGY COMES FROM OXYGEN, AND ONLY 10% FROM FOOD AND WATER. That sounds pretty amazing doesn't it?

Although people can live for weeks without food or for days without water, we will die in minutes if deprived of oxygen. The human body must have oxygen to convert the carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in the diet into heat, energy and life. Oxygen is the essential element in the respiratory processes of most living cells.

If oxygen is vital for life, and death occurs without it, a deficiency means our health is somewhere in between life and death. The more we are deficient the more disease we have and the closer we are to death.

What is the number one "New Year's Resolution?" Yep, you guess it... This year I'm gonna loose weight, I'm gonna slim down, I'm gonna start moving...I'm gonna get HEALTHY! Why is it that American's spend more on weight loss and fitness than any other country in the world, but we are still one of the un-healthiest?? Doesn't make sense to me...unless, maybe because everyone is looking for that 'magic pill', the quick fix. Is that you?

You can reinvent yourself in 2010! And you don't need to go to the Biggest Loser reality show to do it. You are perfectly capable of doing this at home. Just let Jillian MIchaels the Fitness Guru be your trainer, motivator and exercise instructor.

As a person who has tried low calorie diets, high fat diets, the Atkins Diet, Weight Watchers, the Southbeach diet, Calories Don't Count, low carb diets, high protein diets, the Mediterranean diet, detox diets, boosting my metabolism and Fit for Life, I guess you can say I am interested in weight loss.

Along with millions of others I have been interested in the show The Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels. She has become not only a star of this TV program but our country's foremost Fitness Guru and a real asset in helping us reach our actual goals.

With Jillian's overwhelming popularity I wondered if she was good, or too good to be true.

What did I find out? I found out that her program is based on science, and she teaches a very good program with a clean diet. Also, because of her early unhealthy and overweight condition, she is highly motivated to help others reach their goals just as she has. and because of her youth and condition she is able to exercise and kick butt-as they say. Exercise is a very important part of reaching your goals-as you can see fromthe Biggest Loser show.

Another thing I have found is that with her books, DVDs, cards, etc she is able to help us at home to reach our goals too.

So, no matter if you love or hate her, and I noticed that people either feel one way or the other about her, if you have some fitness goals you are welcome to use her expertise and motivation to help you reach your goals. And we can do it in the comfort of our own homes without leaving our families or even paying for a gym membership. (Unless you choose to use the gym-which is OK too.)

Giving Thanks and Being Grateful Transforms our Lives

There's been a lot of information written on Giving Thanks and Gratitude in the last couple of years. Most people celebrate Thanksgiving yearly as is the custom, and of course giving thanks is always a good thing. But, when we give thanks each and every day, we can transform our lives

Let us give thanks daily throughout the entire year. If people wait until only one day each year, they might be so down and depressed that they might not be able to remember what they are thankful for. I am not taking anything away from Thanksgiving, because as was already mentioned, any day a person spends giving thanks is a good day, but, let's work on giving thanks each and every single day.

Why Give Thanks or be Grateful Each Day?

UC Davis psychology professor Robert Emmons has researched "thanksgiving."

This study has shown that people who count their blessings -- not just on the fourth Thursday of November each year, but in daily gratitude journals- exercise more regularly, complain of fewer illness symptoms and feel better about their lives overall. In other words they express more wellness, happiness and a complete sense of well being.
