How much “veldt” do you have?

Well it looks like the jokes and one liner(s) are over for a few days. We’re back to wordsmith here on AR. The veldt here is going away but at a slower rate than elsewhere in the States. Once prized by everyone other than for a few die hard it is vanishing and with it goes part of the American history. Of course it will remain in all the States but not like it was in the1800’s or early 1900’s. The meaning of (velt) is open grassy country, grassland. With farmers getting more crops out of less and less land the land not needed is being sold off due to the expanding population.

As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his cell
phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife's voice
urgently warning him, 'James, I just heard on the news
that there's a car going the wrong way on Interstate 40.
Please be careful!' 'James,' James said,
‘it’s not just one car... It's hundreds of them!'

I took the wife to see Planet of the Apes today. I hear some of my close relatives have starring roles. I'm gonna try and not make any trouble today but if some buffoon is sitting in front of me texting, I can't make any promises.

NYPD, FDNY, AND EMS OFFICERS WERE NOT INVITED TO THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY OF 9/11... MAYOR BLOOMBERG CLAIMS THERE IS NO ROOM FOR THEM... 10 YEARS AGO, THEY WEREN'T INVITED BUT THEY SHOWED UP!!! REPOST IF YOU AGREE THEY SHOULD BE THERE. I WONDER IF THERE WAS ANOTHER DISASTER (GOD FORBID) IF THEY WOULD NEED AN INVITATION TO ATTEND. WHAT A DAMN NUCKLEHEAD.
