Have you ever told a client to get some “getter”?

What a great word to start the day. If you have lived around a farm or had dealing with one you might know this word years ago no make that decades ago I lived on one. I’ve heard it called many things but not this one. So I guess now would be a good time to tell you the meaning of (get’er) poisoned bait for farm pests. Hum I wonder if that would also be true for the human kind? ;) Enjoy your day.. ;)

Ever had someone “dally” you?

Sure you have. In fact I would care to wager it happens more than you think. Young old or somewhere in between you look forward to this I know I do. I receive it from my wife and I pass it onto my children and my dog Jessie. Sorry I almost forgot the meaning of (dal’e) to flirt; play at love. Don’t you just love it (sorry for the pun) when someone flirts with you? What say you?

Don’t treat me like I’m dying.

John was the go to man. Whatever problem was in the community just call John it didn’t matter what it was John would figure it out and fix it. Anyway one day the light at the top of the communication tower so they called John to go change it out. As John was putting a new bulb in for whatever reason he fell off the tower. Witnesses called for an ambulance and for whatever reason John was still alive. When the ambulance arrived he told them “Don’t treat me like I’m dying.” As they arrived at the hospital and was getting his medical history he again stated “Don’t treat me like I’m dying.” Administering IV’S, blood pressure, blood tests etc. was begun and the doctor came into the room. The doctor asked him if he had a reaction to anything and to that John replied “It seems I have a reaction to gravity can you help?”

You see even though John had a serious thing happen to him he still had a great outlook on things. So when a listing or contract falls through as I and you know they will what kind of attitude will you have? Things could be worse, what say you?

Did you know you belong to the “gregarious” species?

As I was looking around today to find a new word I came across this one noted above. Interesting word with a couple of different meanings but the one I chose due to our business is appropriate. If you’re not of this species you will not survive. Now for the meaning of (gre ger’ e es) : fond of the company of others; sociable. So are you gregarious? What say you?

The phone rings this morning and deep into a sleepy fog I hear it but roll over, cover my head and ignore it. A minute later it rings again. Same thing, roll over, climb deeper into the warm covers and ignore it. On the third ring I decide it must be important so I reluctantly climb out of my sleepy cocoon and answer it. It's my daughter. "Hey Dad, Didn't mean to wake you." How many times do you hit re-dial before you really meant to wake me?
