Mark~ Kidding about what? This data is collected from the Hawaii Information Service (Local MLS), and it reports acurately what is happening now and since April 1st of this year... none of the data was "washed" it is just straight dirt...perhaps that is where the concern/question is at? There are a couple of very high priced homes available in OL right now (gorgeous mini estates) and that does scew the asking price data a little higher than normal, same with the land (13+ acres as 6 lots for $690,000.00) but if I start washing the data here where does it stop?
As far as Non performing notes...I can find only 9 foreclosures on the entire Island of Hawaii, and considering what the sub prime market went through I dont feel thats to bad.
Granted the islands not only get different news than the mainland it also tends to get it years after the fact or not at all! Some times we miss out on bad news all together, lol!
