The Blackberry Pearl

I recently purchased a blackberry pearl after reading several post here about smart phones. Wow what a phone it is. Below are some of the great features of this phone. You can rest assured I made a great decision on this because of posts I read on here.

The phone is a phone "duh", well it is a good phone and gets good reception. I have not dropped a call yet with the phone 

It is a pda. The pearl allows you to set appointments and rings you prior to the appointment. It has a great address book featrue that allows you to store cients names, addresses, email addresses, and several phone numbers.

Email.- You can send and receive email through the phone from your current account. You do not have to use a blackberry email account you can use your company email. You can set up a blackberry email if you want but you do not have to.

Internet. You can log on to your local MLS or any other site that is set up for wireless viewing. Makes a great tool for when you are out with clients.

You can tether the phone to your laptop and use it as your wireless card.
It is also bluetooth capable.

You also have a navigation system with this phone. You can purchase a seperate GPS card for your car and the blackberry will act just like a tom tom. Great navigation tool.

You also have the push to talk feature so you can walkie talkie your friends and family.

The phone has an expansion slot for a mass storage card. I have a 1 gig card in mine but there are 2 gig cards as well. Great if you want to store media.

The phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera with a flash. It really takes a nice picture and with a flash huh.

You can use the phone as an mp3 player too. So if you want to hook it in to the car use it as your mp3 player so you do not have to have seperate devices. It plays avi video too. pretty cool stuff huh? It also has games you can down load. Pretty cool ones at that.

THE BEST FEATURE ON THIS PHONE IS THE VOICE DIALING. The voice dialing makes placing calls on the go very simple. Most phones just have a feature to where you program in your voice to 5 or 6 people and you can voice dial those people. This phone, you can tell it to call a numer and it calls the number. You can tell it to call anyone on your address book and it will call them. This is a very nice feature.

The phone also has a trackball for easy navigation. It works just like a mouse on your laptop.

You can also download google talk and yahoo messanger to the phone. I keep my IT guy right on google talk so I can reach him all the time with out having to call. I KNOW HE LOVES THAT.

In addition to the navigation sytem you have a great map system that is very updated. It is great for finding those listings. You can send your self or other voice memos too.
