A Perfect Weekend

Today is Friday, the first day of the 2007 Memorial Day Holiday. The traffic on Ringling Blvd is picking up and parking spaces are getting to be a premium on St Armands Circle. The bay is a brilliant turqouis, the breeze is picking up and windsurfers are making their appearance. Stonecrab season is over, but blue crabs are plentiful!

Foot traffic is picking up and there are more and more visitors seriously looking at this marvelous community. Business for Michael Saunders and Company is up and we see continued growth as snowbirds and retirees look for a home in paradise, also known as the Gulf Coast and Sarasota and the barrier islands.

As of today there are 46 homes listed for sale on Lido Key. While most are new construction or significant remodels, there are a few opportunities to find a property and do it the way you want it! The most expensive property today is listed at $3684 per square foot...but that includes an absolutely marvelous private beach, lush landscaping and an estate sized lot. There is a "walk to the beach" house listed at $369 per square foot...those are just 2 of 46 properties...for details on the others contact me!

Window shoppers seem mosted interested in insurance and taxes. We do have homesteading, a marvelous benefit for those who can qualify. And, Yes, insurance is available. email me and I will send you a list of current brokers writing in this area. Yes, costs are up, however, the value of property has also gone up and many considering a second home seem to forget that costs of insurance and taxes are tied to property values.

Perfect for you, but Central Texas is seeing huge amounts of rain.  Boat traffic will be down and flood waters are rising.  Lousy for recreation, but maybe people will look at our listings.

Diana, I love Lido Key... it is beautiful here in Pensacola Florida too
