Elvis Presley Festival in Review

What a great weekend to be in Tupelo, MS. Real estate is not part of this blog entry but I did want to share our wonderful city. This weekend was the Elvis Presley Festival. It is our time to celebrate Elvis. We are very proud that Elvis was born in our town and celebrate this every year.

Friday night brought a local favorite Paul Thorn. Paul was born and raised right here in Lee county. He is a blues,

folksy singer who tells stories with his music. We used to be a pro boxer and fought Roberto Duran. He sings about that too. You can find Pauls music online at www.paulthorn.com. I would recomend you check him out he is really good.

Here is my daughter Elizabeth with Paul at the festival. One great thing about this festival is the entertainers are out there for you to meet. Paul was gracious to pose for a photo with Elizabeth.

Just after Paul Thorn Daryl Worley put on a great show. His song "Have you forgotten" really stirred the emotion. What a great American he is. He has toured in Iraq for the troops. If you agree with the war or not you have to give him cudoos for his support of the troops.

On Saturday night we had American Idol winner Taylor Hicks. Yep right here in little ole Tupelo. We are very fortunate to have these guys here.
