Home sale statistics for May 2007 compared to May 2006 in New Jersey's Camden County

So what is really happening in the Camden County Real Estate Market? Are Buyers buying homes, and are Sellers selling? The market is ever changing, and with the following information we can see what is going on now.

For Camden County, New Jersey residents the month of May 2007 had 1,378 homes were listed on the market and there were 607 pending sale. In May 2006 Camden County had 1,284 homes listed for sale and 688 pending. The year to date sales in Camden County were 2,468 in 2007 and 2,708 in 2006. The average days on the market in Camden County has increased also this year from 54 to 68.

It appears from this that the market is slower. With a similar number of homes being listed this year, but less going under contract it's obvious that the days on the market will be longer. This summer many market analysists expect that market to show steady growth... follow my blog to see what happens.

Throughout New Jersey, 2007 is so far a more competitive year for sellers, and different strategies need to be considered and implemented to entice buyers to even consider your home over others that are also available. Also, more choices are out there, so buyers are taking a little longer to make a decision. For some strategies to help your home sell quickly in any market conditions feel free to contact me.
