A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...Federated Department Stores has inked a deal with Così to add their Coffee and Bread cafes to Macy's stores.  (click here for a menu)

There are already three of these new concepts located in South Florida Macy's Stores in The Aventura Mall in Aventura, Florida, The Falls Mall in Miami, Florida, The Fashion Mall in Plantation, Florida, and Dadeland Mall in Miami, Florida.  The Aventura Mall location has two Così spots...a kiosk in the kitchenware area on the second level and a cafe on the first level.

The addition of Così to Macy's is an obvious move to making more of an overall destination location feel to Macy's stores across the nation.  Much like at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, the cafe will create a new shopping experience for store customers.  Instead of "going shopping at Macy's"... customers will be able to think of this new concept as "A Day at Macy's". 

As this concept is growing locally,  Così is growing its own presence with its own independent stores in snowbird heavy Naples, Florida (Collection at Vanderbilt) and soon to open in Boca Raton, Florida (Del Mar Shopping Center).
