The BIG "L" Word. Yikes. I first became familiar with Lymphoma last year. My mother was diagnosed with Lymphomia, which spread to her bones. The Lymphoma Society of Lorain County, Ohio was Johnny on the spot organizing and sharing information about treatments and services that they offer patients. They really do perform a great service.
Today I opened my mail and had "junk mail" (so I thought) from the Lymphoma Society. Shock of all shocks, they're giving something away - to me, to you! To anybody that wants it!
The Lymphoma society wants to train you to be an athlete! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete they want you to join their fundraising team.
By helping to raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services, you'll receive:
What an excellent opportunity to kill not just one, but a field of birds with one stone.
Over the years, TNT has trained more than 320,000 participants who have raised over $750 Million!

Chris... If you go to the meeting update us on how you make out. I received one of those mailings in the spring but the timing wasn't right for me to attend. BTW... Are you training for a full marathon or starting with a half?
You go girl! What a great idea I'm going to look into it seriously! Great use of a blog gf you rock. And prayers for your Mom.
Chris,
This is awesome information and for such a good cause, I will check it out for sure. Thanks for posting! :)
the truth is, one of the managers from another office trained for something that could have been a part of this 'plan' and she ran a marathon in Alaska; said it was the best thing.
What a wonderful way to support a great cause and take personal benefit as well. Great information Chris!
Hi Chris,
What a wonderful way to support your Mom. Nothing like a personal experience to get one involved in a cause, right? Good luck and go go go!
Chris's Training Inspiration
My friend is battling Lymphoma again right now. She is part of the reason I am involved with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
I have a video on my blog that puts cancer in perspective. You are more that welcome to link to it. If you want, I will send it to you. The song is enough to motivate people.
great info Chris
my brother in law just had a son... and named him for his cousin that died of leukemia at 7 years old....
great cause
Bob the lymphoma chapter by mom covered travel expense, parking fees, etc for treatments, chemo, and hospitalization. Your friend might wanna look into what their local chapter can do, if the local chapter hasn't contacted him/her yet.
Let your friend know that my mom got better. I didn't think she'd beat it, but she did. (She's a transplant patient with a very week immune system). I talked to her the other day and said you're one tough broad, I think the only way to kill you is with a silver bullet or a wooden stake!
Chris, You have the hairs standing up on the back of my neck right now. This is the cancer my wife suffers with - hers is a rare form known as LLC - she has both of the nasty "L's". I can't say much right now, my heart is in my throat and my eyes are swelling, please just know that your mom and you are both in my prayers.
God Bless,
John
John, Cancer sucks. Like you, I've spent way too much time in hospitals. All of the families and people that are suffering is just terrible.
Chris, My friend got better once...and is on the way again to beating it again. I will tell her about this program.
Cancer does suck! And old goats don't die...LOL
Chris -Way to go! I'm thinking of doing a marathon in the late fall with another guy in the office. It's been +- 7 years since I have ran amd need to get back on the road - Not only for the weight lose, but the mental state it puts you in. I miss it.
