Margaret's Walk was named after Margaret Seton Fleming who lived in North Florida all her life and was originally from Fernandina Beach. Margaret married Lewis Fleming in 1837 and they had seven children. Margaret passed away in 1878 but her name still lives on in this beautiful community.
There were four custom home builders that started building this community in 2000 D R Horton, Sig Higginbotham, American Home Builders and C Richard Builders Inc. Homes start at 1891 Sq. Ft. 3 bedroom 2 bathroom and run up to 3475 Sq. Ft. 4 bedroom 3 bathroom. The 4 bedroom 3 bathroom floor plan seems to be the most popular and comes in several sizes of living space.

Homeowners at Margaret's Walk can enjoy nice relaxing walk in the community garden that leads to a pier to the St. Johns River. Just a short drive away there are two championship golf courses Eagle Harbor Golf Course and Fleming Island Golf Course.
Within a mile there will be a new Publix grocery store and a Walgreens drug store. The Island walk shopping center is close by which includes Kohl's clothing store, Kirkland's, KanKi Japanese restaurant, and Petco.
Additionally, Margaret's Walk is located just 10-15 minutes from Orange Park Mall, 30-40 minutes from Jacksonville International Airport, 25-30 minutes from downtown Jacksonville, and 30-40 minutes from Jacksonville Beach.
