Olathe Kansas is Celebrating it's 150th Birthday
Farmers Insurance Group is sponsoring one of the twelve cowboy boot sculptures grazing the skyline of Olathe Kansas in celebration of Olathe's 150th birthday. This one is called the "Fluttering Along the Santa Fe Trail". This boot answers the question, "What would cover a cowboy boot walking along the Santa Fe Trail?" Monarch butterflies and sunflowers, of course!
I had the pleasure of getting to visit this boot sculpture up close and personal. It's really an amazing design, full of color and it really catches the eye of those driving by. The three-dimensional monarch that graces the top edge of the boot sculpture captures everyone's attention, it is so life like.
Since Farmers Insurance Group sponsored this one, I thought I would mention a little bit about the nation's #3 home and auto insurer and the facility located here in Olathe. This facility is a Customer Care Center providing employment to approximately 500 of the Kansas City area work force. The call and data center adds another dimension to the Kansas City Farmers Insurance Group's established reputation.
This customer service center provides nationwide service around on a 24 hour a day around the clock all year-round operation. With the advent of this center, Farmer's representatives can immediately provide the ability to process property damage claims to it's client base worldwide.
This central location offers a well developed telecommunication infrastructure, top-quality work force, and a relatively low cost of living for employees and was a key factor in Farmers' decision for Kansas City over 10 other cities evaluated nationwide.
The Customer Care Center for the Farmers Insurance Group of Olathe Kansas is located at 17150 W 118th Terrace in Olathe, KS 66061. Phone (913) 227-0283 web site http://www.farmers.com/

David - You know, Olathe is starting to grow on me. Got a spare room. I may just have to come out for a visit if you keep writing such interesting articles.
Marlene, Olathe is really a great community, I'm blessed to be a part of it. Although it has the changes of the four seasons, it's a very innovative and growing community. Our school district is one of the tops in the country as well. More about this in an upcoming post! Thanks for commenting and we'll leave the light on for you!
