Beautiful sculptures leading up to the front door of City Walk...this is a serene place in the middle of the city....The Tao of Oakland.Stay Tuned...For now I want to thank all of you for your comments and for the most recent comment on how to boost my score(love ya) . Oakland is the way. Right now there is a pilgrimage of people from the outer areas of major cities to the inner cities particularly the downtown areas. Oakland is no different. It is vibrant! It is full of life! It is bright, colorful. And surprisingly now you can get good deals on real estate in preparation for the future. The dot com bomb! of 10 years ago left Oakland in a state where many people thought they would never be able to afford to live in the Bay Area. But as the market cools now is the time to buy in the down cycle. Real Estate goes in cycles; and I believe the downtown area of Oakland will pick up at gradually...I can't tell you that lots of people are still moving quietly from the suburbs: downsizing their life and young people are moving in to the lofts at the Apex of their creativity and youth. One of the most wealthy building owners from San Francisco: Walter Shorenstein has invested heavily in properties in the downtown area of Oakland. And that is just a beginning.... More to come...

Deborah thanks for the encouragement. I'll be by to visit your active rain website. Thanks for the compliment. My smile comes from my joy in doing something I love. Real Estate is such a large part of my life and my passion. I'll be interested in what you have to say about staging as that is a critical part of selling many places and getting a good return on your investment. Just curious: which cable show do you like the best on home buying? I'm really interested in what stagers think of these home shows. Thanks for everything.
Hello Michael - Very Nice to hear from you! Staging is very critical to selling - always has been - it's just now being recognized. Honestly I don't watch much TV lately. I don't find the home selling shows very accurate in the way they represent staging. They go in with a team of people, do a lot of stuff, then quote only the material costs. I find some clients get an unrealistic view of the industry.
I'll be back - have to fetch a link
Okay I'm back This is an article I got featured for, but it's really thanks to David Slavins article which is very important to the industry - http://activerain.com/blogsview/139042/Realtors-Awaken-to-the
