Are you using your Signature to the best of your advantage?

That may be a funny question, no I am not talking about your Signature but I am talking about your signature your email signature. Well are you?

If you are not sure what I am talking about a signature is located at the bottom of each email and all email services will allow you to add your own. This is the place where you would put your name and contact information. You would be suprised as to how many people don't use this to the best of their advantage.  Most signatures inlcude the senders name and email address or phone number. But you should be useing this to the best of your advantage. This is what mine looks like:

When you look at this what do you see? I see my name, business name and 4 ways of contacting me. As well as my certification with NAR and my company's moto. So this automatically tells the sender this is who I am, this is the company I work with and yes you can reach me.  When I am running a special promotion I put a link to it in my signature like the one I am running now for the raffle on 5 free hours I may but something like for a chance to win visit my blog at:

            http://activerain.com/blogsview/158198/Wanna-get-something-FREE

Or I may put a link to join my newsletter at the bottom of my signature. Depending upon where my signature is used I also may add my logo. 

My point is there is enough space in your signature to add this information and offer valuable discounts and services to your clients, potential clients and past clients. You can get more leads for your newsletter by putting a link to your signup page, you never know some of your clients may have never known you had a newsletter if you didn't put it in your signature line. Whatever the case may be make sure you use this valuable space to your benefit. You can even add several different links one may be for your newsletter, one could be for your blog and you could also add any other links to news articles about your company or things of that nature.

Make sure you are promoting you in every way that you can!!!
