So who was the major star in the War of the Worlds?
Those are great photos Jennifer - I'll park and wait to find the answer.
Susie - Thanks for stopping by, let see if someone will give the answer.
Jennifer - Great Pictures!!
Tom Cruise
Paula- Glad you like the pictures and yes it was Tom Cruise. From some of the stories I have heard some of the crew stayed at the Stewart House.
What part did Morgan Freeman play?
Jennifer: Nice post and it looks like a great area. I am familiar with War of the Worlds but probably was covering my eyes and missed the part about Athens.
Jennifer,
very nice pictures well taken :) keep the good blog and thanks for sharing that with us !!

what great photos looks like a lot of fun - I love old buildings.
Jennifer those are great photos of Athens NY. What a beautiful area to live in.
Ray- Since the village is located along the majestic Hudson River while I was at the waterfront park I saw people enjoying all kinds of activites on the river. Even a huge barge went by.
Thesa - The village has all kind of old homes, While I was there I notice several were under restoration.
Ashley - It is a beautiful area, I love the Riverfront Park, I can watch the boats going by.
Jennifer, great pictures. I love the villages that border the Hudson River- history is so rich there!
laurie -Thank you, I just love places by the water, maybe because I grew up on an island. This village because of it's location does have lots of history.
How cool is that! War of the Worlds! Well, a film was made in my hometown of Hawley PA - but it wasn't a blockbuster, it was a flop! (Playing for Keeps).
WOW...Jennifer..These photo are great taking. You must have an awesome camera, or are you just that good of a photographer!!!
Karen- The town people were supportive of the production, sorry your local film was a flop, who knows your town might get another chance.
Derrick -The camera is good, I am not good but I am improving thanks to digital cameras. When I was new to real estate the office Admin. would laugh whenever I brought my pictures in because they were all slanted.
Good photography. My memory is poor -- I just remember the NYC scenes.
Those are some great pictures! I think I am going to have to visit NY sometime!

Ann - Glad you enjoyed the photos. These pictures were taken about 100 miles north of NYC.
Cristy - I think you would have a great time. If you come in the fall the foliage is something you won't want to miss. I plan to take a cruise on the Hudson to see the foliage.
Ray - Glad you enjoyed the pictures.
