What do you read?

Can you believe that only 13% of Americans read at a "proficient" level? This statistic, and some others gathered by The Literacy Company and Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics are startling to say the least. Consider this - more than 20% of adults read at or below the 5th grade level.

The purpose of my post is more than to point out these scary statistics. I am curious to know what people on Activerain read. I am hoping to hear from you what the best real estate and business books are out there, but I also want to know what else people read. Do you still read the classics? History? Or do most people not read anymore?

Personally, I don't think the importance of reading can be overstated. We should always be reading something that relates to our business so as to become a student of that business, whether it be real estate or not. Yet I believe we also should read other things just for fun to keep our minds alert.
