On Saturday, August 11, approximately 100 volunteers from the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® will join with Habitat for Humanity® Las Vegas to frame the program's next house. This is the sixth consecutive year that GLVAR has sponsored a home.
Registration begins at 7:00 AM, with orientation and work taking place from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The home is at 1937 Gregory Street (near Lake Mead and Losee) in Las Vegas. No family has been selected for the home yet.
Habitat for Humanity® has been in Las Vegas since 1991, and has built 58 homes in Clark County. All U.S. Habitat organizations are also asked to pledge 10% of their funding to projects that build homes around the world. More information can be found at www.HabitatLasVegas.org.

Hi John, Habitat is the best group. If you get a chance, give us a follow up on the house with a photo! Thanks Carole
Carole - Don't look for me around 7 AM, but I do plan on participating sometime during the day, and I'll try to get plenty of photos.
I think Habitat for Humanity is an excellent international organization. They have built quite a few houses in Edmonton too.
My whole family has loaded up and traveled to the habitat site several times. We actually have fun doing it. It's good clean fun and everybody wins.
John-This Habitat for Humanity is such a great opportunity for giving back to our communities. I'm so excited for the opportunity I will be having on August 24th in our community. What a great way to fill the heart.
Hi John,
This is a great way to give back to the community! It is very gratifying to help people with good honest work! I hope you get a huge turn out!
Our company has been talking about having one day a month or more where realtors volunteer and help out in their communities. Nothing's been decided yet, but I think it's a superb idea.
Realtors really are a good bunch... If we can't help people buy houses, we build them!
John, what a wonderful worthwhile cause. That just shows the type of character you have to be involved in such a great opportunity for others. Please let us all know more about it with follow-u photos.
