In the Sacramento County area, Elk Grove, CA comes up with the highest priced Real Estate and what a beauty she is for $5,950,000. Want to helicopter in...not a problem, here. This 10,000 square foot home, listed by Lyon RE has the makings for a secluded well presented palatial estate on 61 acres. Need a helicopter pad? In Placer County, Sadek N.R. Real Estate has listed a 8,500 square foot estate on 3.5 acres for $7,900.000 in Los Lagos which is located in Granite Bay. With a Mediterranean flare and a dramatic waterfall greeting guests upon arrival, this too is a palatial estate waiting for the right Buyer.

El Dorado County, will not go unnoticed...what I found was an estate that appears to be in the process of being built in El Dorado Hills. On 40 acres with 17,203 square feet listed by Remax Gold is a fortress waiting to be purchased for $9,200,000. Plenty of room here to add whatever you think you need. Close to Folsom Lake, riding trails and more. This palatial estate reminds me of a fortress.

Moving on down the freeway toward Davis, in the County of Yolo I found the highest priced estate in El Macero, CA just before reaching the town of Davis from Sacramento. Lyon RE has listed this $2,889,000 stunning home with 5,424 square feet on .37 acres. The highest priced Real Estate in Yolo County.

Gena: Gorgeous homes--and a terrific report! We are so fortunate to live in California.
Gena - WOW! What amazing prices and amazing properties! This was fun to see these different properties for sale in prices not seen in most parts of the country. Great post!
Ann
Gena - great summary and terrific pictures. It is amazing what some people will build and live in, and whay they will pay to do so. We had a recent sale here on the ocean (main house plus several outbuildings on several parcels) for almost $50 million.
Jeff
Gina, this was fun to look at all these pictures of how the other half lives. What would a person's career be to live in one of those ?
Roberta, don't you just love the wineries? What luscious living! Yes, I am very grateful to live in such wonderful country...so many different environments to chose from all within a short distance.
Ann, glad you enjoyed it. I had fun looking for the highest priced Real Estate in and around the Sacramento area. of course that changes, as we both know but these were the highest as of last night. Which one was your favorite?
Jeff, yes it is amazing. Money flows easily for some. Glad you liked the photos.
Ann Arbor, Great Guess...not selling Real Estate in Sacramento, for one! Love to have the scoop on that one. Are you thinking of a career change?
Wow... I'd take the Sonoma Vineyard in a heart beat.... in another lifetime too ;)
Lori, that's my favorite, too. Can't you just picture having a glass of wine out on the veranda over looking the lucious hills and vineyards while having cheese and sour dough bread? Pass the grey poupon, please.
Ah yes.... a nice Merlot in fact. My little pinkie just curls up in a half tip just thinking about it :))
Gena,
I absolutely love that home on Grant Line Rd. I had a client who traveled to Texas for work and he said that his boss was looking to purchase something like that home to open up a resort style bed & breakfast or a place to host events such as weddings and/or parties. We ran into a snag though. It's zoned AG20 and he would need it to be zoned commercial. We didn't think we'd have a problem with that since the property was in Elk Grove, so we thought, but it's actually not in Elk Grove at all. It falls within the County jurisdiction and Sac County said that they may not approve a zoning change or even a conditional use permit. Bummer...$5.9M is a nice commission.
Chris, yes I too had a buyer for awhile...with the some of the same issues. It is a GREAT house with unreal amenities. And you area absolutely right, the commish would be nice. This is the second go round with it being listed...wonder when it will sell and who will be the lucky Buyer?
Lori, sorry for the long delay...missed your fabulous remark! Mine too is curled!!
