Try this different route to Bryce Canyon National Park

Alright, there is some self-interest involved in this post, but I hope you'll look past that.

If I'm not mistaken, most people traveling to Bryce Canyon National Park will travel south on I-15, exit on UT-20 toward Panguitch, then once they've arrived at Panguitch, they take UT-12 to Bryce Canyon.

Well here's a different, and in my opinion, more scenic way to get there.  You exit I-15 at Scipio then go south through Sigurd, Koosharem, past Otter Creek Reservoir and Antimony, and your'e there.  The reason why I like this way better is because they just widened and re-paved the road between Antimony and Bryce Canyon.  They call this John's Valley Road and it is beautiful.  It takes you through Widtsoe, where there's a scenic drive through Dixie National Forest (if you take the time), and on to Bryce.

Yes, I do have ties to Antimony, which is where my self-interest comes in, but I think you'll like the drive too if you give it a try.
