I have been waiting for the long awaited announcement of flights to begin from Mesa Phoenix Gateway Airport via Allegiant Airline. I have included two informational links providing details of Allegant's plans to release information on what cities will be included. Allegiant's Plans are set forth in more detail on this July 31 news release. They plan to release the names of all of the cities by the end of this year. I've provided a link to their website for up to the minute information: www.AllegiantAir.com
So far, they have released the names of two:
Rapid City, South Dakota - Wednesdays and Saturdays
and Chicago Rockford International Airport - Mondays and Fridays
For even more detailed information click on this link.
Added September 6, 2007! Check it out from Allegiant's website:

Teri, this is great information for Mesa-Williams Gateway Airport. Thanks for the links!
Stephanie, thanks for dropping by and for commenting. It is very exciting news. More flights in and out will make it much more convenient for those traveling here for the winter
It is amazing how some of these smaller airports are adding flights that make commuting so much easier and some of the larger carriers are struggling.... maybe they should take a better look at these small cities for a better plan.
Thesa, yes you are right. I used to use Burbank Airport while living in California since driving to and from Los Angeles Airport was a nightmare. I will certainly be eyeing which cities will use this new venue. Some of the cities that will be included will be the more offbeat ones..........interesting to see which ones.
Sure would be nice it they would include Des Moines -- I'd like to avoid the PHX Int'l when traveling to see the grandkids. But, I suppose it would be too much to hope for both Des Moine and Flagstaff!
Thanks for the info!! I just had this conversation with a client of mine, however, I couldn't remember the airlines name. I appreciate you letting us know.
Ann, I've been out of touch as to which other cities will be on the "list." Maybe Flag will be one of them, who knows? Been out of town enjoying the White Mountains, and leaving again tomorrow for five/six days. Ahhh, the life of a Realtor when business "isn't". Thanks for your post.
Karen, Thanks for stopping by. So glad you benefited from the post. Will be adding more information soon.
We visited Mesa this spring and loved it. Glad to here it's becoming easier to get to.
