For quite some time I have been kicking around the idea of a new website dedicated to buyers and sellers of acreages in Southwest Iowa. Finally I decided on Loess Hills Acreages for several reasons. First I live on an acreage in the Loess Hills and have experience with acreage living. The second reason was I enjoy the opportunity to market and sell Loess Hills acreages when I can. Living on an acreages was a dream of mine for quite some time and I enjoy it more and more every day. Helping others realize their dream of living on an acreage is always a thrill for me. Marketing acreages for those that have to sell is always a great experience as I get to work with sellers and point out the highlights of their acreage to buyers.

Every acreage is different and every acreage dweller is different Some people want a home in the country with a perfect lawn, long white fences and others live on acreages for the opportunity to have livestock or commercial farming operations.

Acreage living is different from living in town and as I've written in the blog before there are unique challenges along with great rewards to living in the country. Southwest Iowa has some of the finest and most scenic acreages in the world. Known for the unique land formation the "Loess Hills" is a strip of rough terrain that runs the length of wester Iowa and creates many peaks an valleys up to 300 feet tall. The "hills" are covered with hardwood forests and open grasslands creating a beautiful setting.

All of this is finally captured in my website. The initial release of the website contains lots of information and will get even better as I continue to add content to the site.
