Best Miami Sunday Brunch

There is nothing better than waking up any given Sunday Miami morning and going to one of the best known brunches around. It can get a bit pricey, but we are in Miami, you will enjoy atmosphere, good food and may even share the room with a celebrity or two.

Located at the Biltmore Hotel - 1200 Anastasia Avenue in Coral Gables - (305) 913-3202. The atmosphere is elegant and the spread is magnificent, from French Champagne to lobster and caviar. Reservations are recommended. The price is $65/person and it is open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

At the Delano Hotel's Blue Door Restaurant - 1685 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach - (305) 674-6400. Here's the best place to sit alongside a celebrity, could be J-Lo or even Madonna. Reservations are required and the price is $62/person. Served from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Located at Nemo's - 100 Collins Avenue in South Beach (area known as SoFi) - (305) 532-4550. This one is my favorite - the food is outrageous (I am salivating as I type) and the atmosphere does not get any better. The price is $29/person. Served from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

In Bizcaya restaurant at 3300 SW 27th Avenue in Coconut Grove - (305) 644-4680. Surrounded by gorgeous views and opulence, includes free flowing champagne and everything you can imagine. The price is $68/person. Served from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Located on Key Biscayne at 3201 Rickenbacker Causeway - (305) 361-3818. The Rusty Pelican is not a fancy place but the views are breathtaking - enjoy your champagne and Mimosa brunch overlooking the Miami Skyline with a fabulous spread. The price is $27.95/person, you need reservations and it is served from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Located at Emeril's Miami Beach - Loews Miami Beach Hotel - 1601 Collins Avenue - (305) 695-4550. Start it of with a BAM! What I love about this place is the attention to detail, from the time the server takes your order to the time the dish is delivered to the table. The menu is a-la-carte and although reservations are recommended, walk-ins are welcome. Served from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM

There you have them - my favorite Sunday brunch spots in Miami. One thing they all have in common.... bring an appetite!! Feel free to comment on your experiences and let me know if you have a favorite Sunday Brunch that I did not include.

Ines & Rick,

Wow what a great idea for providing fun information for your community! Brunch has always been one of my favorites, I'd rather do that than dinner most of the time. It seems like you/I have an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and outdoors during the day. And especially in beautiful Miami!

BTW, I had not idea you had an Emeril's there too. I've dined in one of his placed in New Orleans several times, it was always a spectacular event.

Ines, As you know I grew up in Miami.  I remember the Biltmore Hotel as being a crown jewel in Coral Gables.  The pool area was just amazing.  Thank you for bringing back my memories.

Nice public service post to get people out and see the community.  Great Post Ines & Rick.

Brunch sounds good....wonder what's going on here for brunch...I'm hungry.

A great idea, Ines (and Mariana). I love going out to brunch - facny or not. Have been to the Ritz a number of times in other cities and their brunches are always excellent (which they should be for the price). Now I'm ready to eat...

Jeff

Oh Ines, I like brunch.  Great choices for folks in Miami.

We've only been at the Rusty Pelican, and if we're correct in remembering that name it was some years ago. Haven't been in Miami since we finished production on our reggae movie in the 80's. We shot that in Jamaica, of course, and I spent years down there around it. Dean is coming down on them, and it's not going to be good. Thank goodness you all are out of the fray so far this time.

Thanks for the list.  Maybe some day we'll get back to enjoy.

Lynda - I love Brunch too and in any of these places even better!  The Emeril's here is amazing, but you have the origina, no?

Matt - what's amazing is that the Biltmore is just as nice as you remember it - they have spend a lot of money restoring it.

Thanks Gary! (it was Mariana's idea)

Sally - and just to think tomorrow is Sunday.....hmmmm......maybe we'll do brunch!

Jeff - and the ambiance of this particular Ritz is really nice.....so worth the price.

Steve - maybe you'll come down from Denver one day and do brunch with us!

Richard - Reggae Movie??? tell me more.  One of my best and dearest friends is Jamaican.  The Rusty Pelican has been here for years!  (Ok you lost me....Dean who?)

Ines, I think you should have everyone mention your Blog as they making reservations at these fine restaurants....  My fav is still EMERIL'S.  ;)

Ines, those really look like great places, but do you have anything more in my price range that you could recommend.  Say something in the $5.99 range :)

OOooo. Yummy! Now this is my kinda blog! =D

Lisa

the Biltmore, I am all over it Ines, they also have an awesome Holiday Bruch ie Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, but reserve in advance!

Monica - that's a great idea - and it get word of the blog out there!

George - stick to your fried sushi and forget about brunch!  : )

Lisa - and they are all fabulous Lisa!

Janie - I love how the locals are coming to comment....LOVE IT!

I'm salivating at the thought! Great post and yummy information - so , where are you going tomorrow?

they all sound great!

we used to brunch more often...

and Emeril's... I had his brunch years ago before he had his own restaurant.  I ate his sunday Jazz brunch @ Commander's Palace in New Orleans... mmmmm...

now I'm hungry

This is FABULOUS for the locals or for those visiting the area!!  EXCELLENT Ines!!!

Chrissy - that's a great question!!  I have to consult with the family.

David - Emeril has such a style about him, that's very cool that you ate at his place before it was "Emeril's"

Susie - one thing we do have in Miami is great food, it's all the cultures mixed together that make it so interesting.

Ines,

Beofre I moved here...we used to come down and go for the brunch at the Biltmore. I think they served lobster as well. My wife and I have also had dinner at the Rusty Pelican. Our table was literally on thw water..nice views!

Hey Neal - they say the Biltmore still has some ghosts hanging around - did you see the one in the picture? (that one is straight from the Biltmore site)

What a great idea! But LOL now I'm hungry!

Ines, hmmm, I'll take Nemo's. Does someone tall, dark & handsome come with the brunch? Great idea for a Localism blog.

Monika - food posts always make me hungry! : )

Sue - knowing the SoFi area of Miami Beach, you can definiltey count on several " tall, dark and handsomes"!

Marie - thanks so much for that bit of information.  I have never had a Cuban Brunch, but will HAVE to try it.  I loved the part about the staff knowing some English.  : )

Thanks for the great post!!!  Reading it is making me so hungry!  Out of those on your list, I've only had the Delano breakfast, so I see I have work to do.  I've bookmarked it :)

Vickie, you are so funny - I'm sure you will not be dissappointed - my favorite is Nemos and second favorite is a tie between Delano and Biltmore.  Enjoy!

wonderful list - tomorrow is Sunday - maybe I need to get over there and try one of these spots out!!!!

make sure you make reservations!
