Gryphon Client & Employee Event

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share how successful yesterdays BBQ was. The full hog was catered in by City BBQ and Montry made a Cajun Boil with shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. Melissa made sides and we had Columbus Favorite, Cheryl's Cookies for desert.

We had over 100 past clients and future prospects in attendance starting at 3pm and going until a little before 10. It was a great opportunity for our staff to interact with clients they may only speak with on the phone and an opportunity for our agents to socialize with new prospects. About 30 investors attended and we expect to sign many of them up on Buyer Broker agreements this week. Did I mention that it's a great time to buy in Columbus, OH? A lot of attendees were children and the blow up bouncy was a big hit.

Many folks wanted to know about this years OSU tailgates, so we are going to need to figure something out. I think I have also given away about half of our Columbus Blue Jackets tickets for the upcoming season. That means half still left.

The motto yesterday was "Work hard yesterday, play hard today". Everyone was encouraged to take the entire day off (no showings & no schlepping) and I think all had a great time.

We have a small firm that is very family oriented and our few agents end up more as friends than employees or contractors. Being able to provide little things like the tickets and BBQ events has really helped us set apart from other companies.

Great idea and I hope you keep it going.

RK,

Looks like a great BBQ.

I`m positive everyone walked away FULL!

Where was my invitation??

Was Montry there?  He never called me.  :)  It looks like a good time, Rich!  That hog looks like a movie prop.

Sounds like a great day. And that pig...........Well that sucka looks goooooooood!!!!!!

Rich,

Mind is I steal your idea?  I am planning on a similar event for my clients to show my appreciation.  The DJ wouldn't give the deposit back when my daughter cancelled her wedding, so we're gonna have a DJ along with great food.

Rich,

I like your friend Montry, Cajun Boil with shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. Sounds good.

When you said: "A lot of attendees were children and the blow up bouncy was a bighit" were you referring to real estate people or young people? Did you enforce the half hour after eating to bouncing rule?

Regarding the OSU tail gate prolmem, have you considered renting several big screens and skipping the traffic problem? Instead of $8 beers at the stadium you could sell them to your "friends" for only $5. Instead of $6.50 brats you could sell them for only $3 or $4 each and you'd give them all the mustard they can eat! Don't forget the porta-potty concession, with it's hazardous waste disposal sir-charge. Hold it in the office parking lot, save your "friends" money and balance the budget! After the game a leaf blower will make clean up easy for you. Monday morning complain about the neighbors garbage problem.

Rebecca - I'm trying.

Scott - I'm a little fatter than I was last week.

MH - Good question.  Those sneaks from HER must of stolen it.  I had to run them off.  JK !!  This one was for our agents and their clients / prospects.  Gotta keep my peeps happy !!

Chris - Call him at 614-266-1666.

BB - Tasted good too.

Fran - Steal away.  I'd never do another BBQ without the caterer.

WJA - The kids were no problem.  I did keep yelling at the Realtors to play nice, don't cut in line and share though.

I hope you kept your evil twin locked up for the festivities...we wouldn't want him roaming through the festivities, now would we ?

Now Have a Blessed Day,
