With the Labor Day weekend approaching, When was the last time you enjoyed a beach day?
Today was a perfect beach day!
I was lucky enough to finish my work early enough to head to the beach with my family.
Pack a cooler and grab a beach chair before you know it the summer will be over!
Down at the Mattapoisett Shore's Beach the sun was brightly shining and you could see clear across Buzzards Bay to Falmouth.
Today was an exceptionally low tide, a great day for exploring as the water was like a warm bath. A perfect way to relax and spend quality time together!
Some other popular beach's along the coastline of Buzzards Bay:
Horseneck Beach,Westport
West Island,Fairhaven
Swifts Beach,Wareham
Onset Beach,Onset
Monument Beach, Bourne
Old Silver Beach,Falmouth

Hope you and your family enjoy a beautiful beach day! Don't forget the sunblock!

Suzanne:
Aaaah, that brings back fond memories of summer life in the Boston area. But now I get to go to the beach year-round! Thanks for the trip back in time 0 Horseneck is a favorite.
Jeff
Is this where the seals are?
The summer went by pretty fast but fall on the beach is a great time to enjoy some peace without the crowds. Have fun on the last long weekend of summer!
I got up and watched the sunrise here at the beach and Monika got sunburned during the day as I worked and played golf late in the day.
The weather here in NE has been great this week.
Jeff,
Your welcome, nice to see you! Horseneck is the most popular beach in Buzzards bay! :)
Sally,
I think I need to go out further to see the seals, but I will let you know. :)
Dan,
We were the only ones on the beach yesterday, it was very relaxing. :)
Jay,
That sunrise is amazing, make sure Monika takes care of that sunburn! :)
I burned my back side...ouch! The beach is awesome...did you have just the most incredible Moon rise last night?? It was awesome over the ocean here.
Monika,
The moon was incredible, I was out shopping last night. When I passed by the water on my way back the tide was really high. I wanted to head back down to the beach but everyone was sleeping when I got back. :)
Suzaane this looks fantastic. I will be out on a friends boat for the holiday. (plenty of sun screen)
Suzanne... You still working on that tan? Not sure if the sun has any strength left this time of the year. Have a nice weekend...
Matt,
It was nice and relaxing. Enjoy the boat and yes plenty of sun screen! :)
Dan,
Always working on that tan...gotta stay even! Are you going away this weekend?
Suzanne - I love the beach myself. Heading up to York beach ME this weekend. The only bad thing about Labor Day is it kind of signals the end of Summer. I don't look forward to winter at all. Hope you have a great weekend!
Bill,
Have a great weekend! I am a true beach bum, I always get bummed when summer is over but think about how beautiful fall is in New England we are lucky! Thanks for stopping by...:)
Its so amazing how our beaches are on the same side of the country yet look so different. Yours looks so inviting and relaxing and ours looks so HOT LOL :) Actually your beach kind of reminds me of the beach near San Diego with the tide pools. I miss those. Enjoy!
Hi Lysa,
I love our beaches around here, I love that we don't have to deal with the crowds and we actually get to relax at the beach. The way it should be...right? Low tide is fun...exploring rules! :) Nice to see you
There is never a bad day for THE BEACH!! I love the list! I never realized you had so many beaches up there in Somerset, MA!! Sounds wonderful!!
Hi Susie,
We have sooo many beaches in South Eastern, MA those are just the popular ones. I agree is there ever a bad day at the beach...:)
Suzanne,
I think that picture is beautiful, I went with my family to beach about 20 mins from my home and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was, the water was a clear blue and you could see right through the water, I feel like going to the beach right now :0)
Tom Weiss
Tom,
Thats exactly how the water was, I love the beach can you tell..?I'm glad you got to enjoy a day with your family. My beach is about a 2 minute walk...:)
Suzanne, You bring back fond memories of day trips to Horseneck when I was growing up in Boston. Also spent a lot of time in Falmouth where my Best friwnds parents had a summer home a few blocks from Old Silver.
Love the ocean, and now that we are in beautful Coastal NC. we visit the beach several times a week.
