Alaskan Soccer Dad

My son Gerrit loves soccer.  I think he is going to be built more like a basketball player.  At age 12 he has already passed up his Pop, (didn't take much growing actually).  But he likes soccer better than anything else.

So I spent another evening at the soccer fields yesterday. 

I couldn't complain. 

With the Chugach Mountains as a backdrop, the sun still beating down it's warmth at 8PM, and the sandhill cranes flying overhead I was reminded why I love living here.

Winter is coming, it's has it's pleasant times along with the challenges.  But hey, if I didn't like snow, I would make like the sandhill cranes flying over the fields...and head south.
