Laurie - I didn't even know what staging was until I joined Active-Rain. It is a Beautiful Concept, pun intended! Like the video, wise and appropriate marketing material that can be very important for all sellers.
I am watching Sell This House will writing this post. Hopefully I will learn to match colors.
Staging is becoming more imprtant every day.
I had my first listing that was professionally staged throughout the home this summer Laurie. It was gorgeous and sold quickly. It really showcased the homes potential.
I wish I could convince some of my sellers that staging definately can help make a sale more attractive to the buyers.
Jason, I liked the video also, very down to earth.
Randy, Just listen to the stagers, all neutrals and splash a little red in, lol. Seriously, you are too funny. Staging is about to take center stage. If it is not visually appealing, the buyers just move on. You've been MIA, nice to see you back.
Steve, I am trying to reach the consumers in my area and educate them about the value of staging and how the expense is worth the effort. No luck so far. Going to keep trying. Glad you finally reached one of them. There is serious value in it, when it is done right.
Neal. I wish I could also. Nobody seems to want to pay the fees. I am pretty sure it is because of the price point I am working in. Higher end properties are more likely to do so. I'm just going to keep educating and keep trying to get the message across.
That is a great clip and she brings to light some very good points. Especially with the increased inventory, it is more important than ever to make sure you home is shown in it's best light.
Thanks for sharing this, Lauire. I really liked this video. Very believable, no hype, just plain and simple.
Jeff
Linda, I agree, great points and easy to digest. With about 80% of the inventory not selling at all sellers can no longer afford to not stage their homes.
Jeff, I really liked it too, plain, simple and to the point.
Laurie, you know that I'm a great believer in staging. I have staged most of my listings, with the help of the accredited stager, over the last two years. The outcome is incredible. The listings sell faster and for more money. Great video!!!
That is such a great video, and I wish the folks in PA would be more open to staging! It seems they don't want to put money in their properties like they do in other areas.

Hi Laurie,
Home staging has not hit our small town area yet, I have been toying with the idea of starting a home staging business my problem is time. I haven't given up yet--I understand what a powerful selling tool it is. Thanks.
