Oktoberfest is going on at Snowbird, Utah

My wife and I had a great time at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort yesterday for Labor Day.  Little did we know that Oktoberfest was also happening yesterday, so that added to the lively atmosphere of the day. 

I don't have any German ancestry that I know of, so Oktoberfest has never really attracted my attention.  But I realized yesterday that my ancestry really doesn't matter because the festival just seems fun for anyone.  They have a huge tent where you can sample some Bavarian foods while you listen to a variety of entertainers.  There are plenty of fun games for the kids, among which I thought the most interesting was the caricature artist.  They also have a whole bunch of artisans that set up tents at the entrance of the festival.  We scanned their wares and I would highly recommend them.  

The beautiful backdrop of Snowbird completes the event.  It was a little hot when we went, but the scenery made up for that.  I posted some pictures on Localism.com under Snowbird if you'd like to have a look.
