I was surfing the web and came across an interesting site. Maryland Yard Sale Online is "the largest, fresh, new, booming yard sale website in Maryland.”
Further divided by county, the site will let you post up to 10 items for sale for free per month – forever! They also offer paid upgrades for “power” sellers.
If you’d like to purchase an item of interest, you will be able to contact the seller to ask questions and/or make arrangements.
The site is still in its infancy, but the potential for something like this is huge!

Seems like a good idea Ilyce. Good old fashioned yard sale meets Ebay. Buy online but check it out locally.....
Ilyce. Thanks for letting us know. Sounds similiar to what Pennysaver offers in allowing a person to post for free any item under $100.

I think this is a wonderful idea and it would be a great area to advertise items your seller is selling while you are holding an open house.

Also, great information to include in your monthly newsletter to send to your area clients. I created a section in my monthly newsletter called "Cool Websites I Found" and I list sites that I've recently discovered.
the local flier does that too, but on-line is the way of the future....everything is going on-line now! I am sure the trees are rejoicing!!
